    Started out great, ended terribly

    I'm happy Phil is getting an injection of more money into its business ($10mil in August) as I hope it will solve the terrible (terrible) customer service. Wonderful service when setting up the account and automated delivery, but if there's an issue or a problem, customer service was appalling. Well, it would have been appalling if it existed. No honesty and no followup. Hopefully, all this will straighten out.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      I started using Phil in June 2016, and finally quit their service February of this year 2018. So, I think I have a good idea of how this service works. It was an AMAZING service with great customer support when I first joined. Medications transferred in smoothly, auto-refill worked well and changing refill dates and placing holds on refills worked seamlessly. Until something changed, I'm not sure if the company changed hands. I had similar problems that Melissa Behrend had mentioned, as well as other issues. I changed the refill dates of medications only to notice copays charged to my credit card and the dates had been changed online.

      I also had the same meds on auto-refill for over a year, and suddenly those meds weren't refilling on their scheduled dates. I would check and see with my own eyes that the refills were set to go through, for example on 1/5, and log in again after 1/5, and notice the dates had been changed to 1/10. I never did quite figure out if this was a glitch in their system, or the staff was changing dates but not communicating. Customer service never indicated what the issue was either only to say "Oh, it's your insurance." (Which was never an issue in my earlier days of using Phil, and still is not an issue after I stopped).

      I do have to say the partner pharmacies they work with are great, which is why I chose to work directly with the partner-pharmacy and drop Phil as the middleman. Now I don't have to worry about getting co-pay charges that I didn't authorize and have meds filled when they are due! (Oh and delivered to my door step).
