I have been with Lemonade since January. My apartment got broken into, and I called the police and spoke with my apartment complex.
People, what Lemonade doesn't tell you is if you don't have a receipt or send them a picture of your purchase prior to joining, they will not cover you. If you add a roommate and a spouse, they will not cover you. I have been paying for my roommate as well, thought it would be easier for us to split. Well, Lemonade decided to refund me my policy for the last few months. I never had a break in in my life! And told me good luck.
Please you guys, I'm a 9 to 5 worker, and we work hard for our items and the insurance we pay. Go to another company, please, they will let you down. I promise guys, I spoke to Meghan, and she advised they can't cover my items since I never previously sent a pic or a receipt. I work, and I have two kids, and who keeps receipts when you feel you live in a safe area and you paid your dues to your insurance? If you have a roommate, Lemonade requires you have a separate policy. Boy, BS for sure. I live in Las Vegas where houses get robbed all the time. Do not go with Lemonade, trust me! I spent too much time writing this review to let you guys know.
After I wrote this review, Lemonade reached out saying they will have an adjuster come out but it will take two to three weeks just for the phone call while I continue to pay, but they won't cover me. Go through your auto insurance, trust me. I wasted money, and we all hate to waste money.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
