Teaching kids about money isn't easy. At ages 10 and 7, their main experience with money is when they're given it by grandma and grandpa or get gifts on their birthdays. And when they do want to spend what they have, we buy stuff on Amazon so they don't get the experience of handing over cash. And that's where Greenlight comes in, and it has been a blessing. Now they can use an app to check their balance. We can encourage them to save with their parent-funded interest rate. And we can 'Greenlight' certain stores and amounts, to teach them how to spend responsibly. We get the benefit of text message alerts when they attempt or make a purchase, and they get to learn (with training wheels). Love it.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
