    Concern

A family recommended this for our child who has symptoms of IBS. After my husband ordered, I see the ingredients contain Lithium (the bi-polar drug). Is anyone concerned about this?

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Where did you see lithium listed as an ingredient? There is a picture of the box with its ingredients list on their website and it didn't show that. I'm curious. Obviously, no one wants to take lithium unnecessarily.

Lithium is a salt, it is a necessary nutrient for the body. Google the research. It is necessary for our well-being. Look at Journal of the American Physicians and Surgeons. One article lithium has a nutrient by Timothy A.M. Marshall, Ph.D. Of note, lithium induces stem cell production which is very important.

Lignite extract is listed, lithium is not listed in the ingredients. Either way, lithium is a natural substance in the diet, there are different types and doses of lithium and that may be where the confusion is. You can buy the lithium nutritional supplement at Costco in bulk. The kind used for psychiatric conditions is a different kind of dose and only available through prescription.
