    Get off my Porch

    I've given this service one star because zero is not an option.

    I tried to use this one time, and that is one time too many. We made an appointment to have an over-the-range microwave installed about a week in advance. We received the confirmation, the cost, and the name of the contractor. We called the day before to confirm - even though we should not have had to confirm. We were told that our confirmed appointment has been canceled and apparently randomly rescheduled for another day and time, unbeknownst to us. I guess this was a convenient time for the contractor - too bad no one checked with the paying customer.

    From there everything accelerated into a downward spiral. The so-called field manager left a message just saying it had to be canceled. I made a few attempts to speak with him live - and then gave up. This is a great country and there are always other options. I used Takl. The set was easy, the price was less than the original cost, and the contractor showed up when he was supposed to. But please, if you're into unhelpful, frustrating, and ill-informed customer service go to Porch.com.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
