Not too bad but have issues

By Cynthia Taylor, Arizona, Verified Reviewer

Zoosk advertises that it takes 20 coins to unlock a profile and I have always had to do 30 coins in order to unlock a profile. I had a time when I got 40 coins, but I didn't get it posted so that I can unlock a profile. It's true that if you want to try to cancel your subscription, Zoosk do not refund your money back to you and they do not remove your name because you will still receive emails from profiles stating that they are interested. But I also had good luck on Zoosk, I met someone who I really liked and the feeling is mutual, four years later. Anything you get into will have pros and cons. Nothing is perfect.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I met my fiance

By Ro, Georgia, Verified Reviewer

Though I was very skeptical of online dating, I still signed up with Zoosk. I knew what I wanted in a partner. I did not give much information in my profile.

I recognized the scammers and the pervs. I waited patiently, blocking people left and right, until I got contacted by the right person.

Now we are happily engaged. If it wasn't for Zoosk, I wouldn't have met the love of my life. So everything is possible, your success is in your hands.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Fraud

By George V, Texas, Verified Reviewer

I have been using Zoosk for several months. When I get a message that "a Zoosk member" wants to meet me and I choose "Yes" to the question "Do you want to meet her?", the result is going to another screen to pictures of quite a few more women, but none are the same as the Zoosk member who wants to meet me. What's worse is that I got "a Zoosk member" who wants to meet me from Daisetta notice, and two days later I got the same "a Zoosk member" who wants to meet me from Edinburgh. Sounds like a scam/fraud to me. I unsubscribed on 5/20 and will be curious to see if they try to charge my card in June when my original subscription expires.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Contacted by scammers

By Janet, Sloatsburg, NY, Verified Reviewer

Hello. I was only on Zoosk for a short time, but boy-oh-boy, did I have a horrific experience.

I met this one person who said he was someone else and he was like "Oh, I love you, etc..." Very strange. He wanted me to send him $900 to Africa because he was "working there" and ran out of money. I reported this individual to the police, but I feel bad for people who fall for this. I felt like a piece of "meat" on their carousel! Disgusting.

Then I met this other man with many, many issues. This is a dangerous site, as it exposes women to many strange individuals, and it can also be a dangerous site if a person does not use good judgment! Stay AWAY.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Fraudulent Profiles

By John, Houston, TX, Verified Reviewer

I was with Zoosk for just one week and encountered many fake profiles. Furthermore, I message someone and claims to have never viewed my profile. I decided to cancel soon afterward. Zoosk is still sending me people who said they viewed my profile when they probably did not. Very deceiving. I would not recommend Zoosk to anyone.

I send messages and request after request and got no reply. It's like I never sent anything. No satisfaction.

Zoosk is a joke

By Peggy, Denver, CO, Verified Reviewer

I was never messaged by anyone and don't think that their chat or messaging even works. They just steal your money with no results. They are very untrustworthy for sure. Terrible website.

Stay away, not worth the money nor your time

By Julie , Annapolis, MD, Verified Reviewer

I had over 8 scam artists contact me through this site. Had married men ask me out, and more requests from men for one night stands.

I finally met a nice man and been dating him steady for almost a year. After dating about a month, we both terminated our profiles.

My best friend was on the site the other night and came across my boyfriend's profile which I know has been deleted.

So she had a male friend check out the site and locate my profile that I deleted almost a year ago. I was shocked!

Stay away from this one!

Absolutely Poor

By Adam, Minnesota, Verified Reviewer

I've found my girl, no thanks whatsoever to Zoosk. The profiles on this website are fake, and the system for finding a match is useless. I message them demanding a refund, but all they can do is send an automated message replying, “Sorry for the inconvenience, re-subscribe!”

I don't care if they state "nonrefundable". If their business is falsely advertising, and manipulating people's feelings to get money (and from what I hear over-charging canceled accounts, fortunately my card ends next month), then they ought to be shut down.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Complete scam

By Kim, New Zealand, Verified Reviewer

I was tricked into subscribing when I thought people have messaged me. Turns out they are all automated messages sent by Zoosk, not the members itself. They are started with something like “Thanks. If you are interested or Thanks!” I noticed.

What a complete scam. Very disappointed. Would give negative stars if there would've been an option for it. Now I have to figure out a way to unsubscribe which would be a bloody mission to do considering they are all about scamming your credit cards!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
