    FarmersOnly.com

    Fake profiles

    Overall Experience:

FarmersOnly.com could have been a great place to meet people, but sadly, they have a terribly flawed and many would say dishonest business model. They advertise on TV to get people coming in, but what you see when you get there is a lot of fake profiles. They obviously and most likely outsource labor on the site. The experience is not friendly, which is what you might expect from a bunch of people from New York who have never lived in the country or have never farmed in their lives, and the only farming they are doing is when they get your credit card number.

I can show you hundreds of fake profiles, some with pictures of prostitutes, and some with model pictures obviously ripped off from other online dating sites. If I can find these fake profiles so quickly and easily identify those that are fakes, then why can't they? It is a good idea, but it is just very badly implemented. Don't waste your money on "upgrading" because it's all just designed to take your money, and you will not be meeting anyone on there. Today I saw a picture of a girl who claims to be 22, but the image was photoshopped to show impossibly large blue eyes. Yes, she looked pretty, but the person in the image did not exist; it was taken from other images and then cut and pasted, smoothed out with filters, and made to look like a beautiful girl, but in reality, it's not anyone because it's just a digital image that does not exist, and the girl they show is not real, so why upgrade?

It's a shame that they don't fix the problems they have. Just look at the competition; they have lots of tools that are way better than this place, but all they know how to do at FarmersOnly.com is just advertise more, and screw the poor people that are already on there.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Company Response from FarmersOnly Media Inc.

It is really sad that this question even needs be addressed but, alas, we know that some users have been burned on other sites, and some of you are inherently skeptical. Therefore, we want to be very explicit, the idea of sending out messages to users without their knowledge and sending our own messages is completely against everything we stand and strive for in the FarmersOnly community. We have zero tolerance for any artificial or fake activity. We would never create a fake profile, generate a fake message, or do anything similar. We also go to great lengths to discourage any type of fake or otherwise, destructive behavior from other users.
