    Zulily

    Updated review

    A lesson

    Overall Experience:

They did reply to emails very fast, but seemingly they did nothing to solve the problem.

At the time I clicked "Confirm Order," the amount of money to pay for that order was charged immediately from my bank account. The customer service explained that it was not a real charge; it was just pending payment status. When the order was canceled before their shipment, that pending payment would have fallen off of authorization after 3-5 days. If you also encounter this case, no need to be frustrated. If you use a credit card, after 3-5 days, you will see your money back to your account. However, if you use a debit card, it will take 30 days.

Unfortunately, I used a debit card, so I had a frustrating shopping experience at Zulily. Anyway, after 30 days waiting and worrying, my money was back to my bank account.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Highly caution!

Zulily cheated my money from my Visa debit card.

Here is my case. On April 10, 2017, I ordered four perfume bottles costing a total of $188.70 from the Zulily website. At the time I clicked "confirm order," $188.70 was immediately charged from my bank account. Then, in that night, I found out bad reviews of Zulily online, so scared of what I found, I quickly contacted Zulily to cancel my order. They quickly helped to cancel my order on April 11th and stated that "no money was charged from your credit card for that order and that after 3-5 days, it will be fallen off of authorization."

I have been waiting for nearly 30 days, but my $188.70 still hasn't returned back to my bank account yet. Whenever I contacted Zulily customer service, they always confirm that they didn't capture my money, it is only in pending status. As my shopping experiences from Amazon, Sephora, and FragranceNet, when they canceled my orders, the amount of money paid for that order returned back to my bank account immediately, no need to wait for any day. When I clicked "confirm order" on Amazon and Yves Rocher websites, the amount of money to pay for that order is not charged immediately from my bank account, but it is only charged when they clicked "confirm my order" and prepare to ship. That is to explain about pending status.

However, shopping on Zulily site is very risky. At the time we click "confirm order," that amount of money to pay for the order is charged immediately from our bank accounts. However, when we contact Zulily to ask for a refund as the orders were canceled, Zulily keeps saying that they didn't capture the money. What am I supposed to do now? Why does no one report Zulily to police in the USA?
