Great application for therapy on the go, in the home, or where ever you need it. It's amazing to be able to put your thoughts into the interface as they happen and not have to wait and keep everything bottled up waiting for your next therapy appt. Counsellors are prompt with an email response to any issues you raise and supplemented with some phone or Skype therapy, and you have the best alternative to standing therapy appointments in an office.

If you are not using BetterHelp, you should definitely try it, and you will be hooked. Online counseling is so easy and so helpful.

I was very unsure of what my experience with BetterHelp would be like, but it has been nothing but helpful! My counselor's advice is always spot on and helpful, but sometimes, it's even just nice to know that you have someone there to listen after a bad day.

It's been three weeks since I signed up with BetterHelp. There is the BetterHelp website and model, and then there's the actual counselor you get assigned.

The website itself is fine, no major complaints, though there are some UI improvements they could make. First of all, the discussion is one long thread. Maybe allow some time for organization? Also, hiding the left side panel would be a good preference to add. I like the internal email system model of therapy versus face to face. Why? It's cheaper, I don't have to drive there, and I get as much time as I want to think about the questions he asks and my answers.

Of course, it's the counselor that makes the $265 monthly fee worth it or not. I lucked out and got assigned Jeremy Rhodes, who has been great. Very insightful, understanding and he asks me questions that really look at myself and the issues I'm facing.

The monthly fee is really inexpensive when you compare to face to face therapy and having to drive to the facility. Even if you have coverage, this is a great deal. If you pay out of pocket, it's an even better deal!

I strongly recommend both the BetterHelp website and Jeremy.

I live in Europe and wanted help in my own language. More than that, I wanted help in my own language from a woman of color. When I went on BetterHelp.com and saw ALL the counselors they work with I was shocked in the best way! Because I could not find a therapist who could accommodate my rotating schedule, I decided to explore teletherapy. Best choice ever! I can chat via "email" or set up a time for "face to face." Because I like taking the time to think about things, I've only used the chat/email option and that works well for me. My therapist, June, is gentle, kind, knowledgeable and a great match. It is true that they tell you a weekly rate and take it out for one month. I emailed them because I didn't even know when it was coming out. They responded immediately. Although they couldn't change the situation, they were apologetic and took my suggestion of emailing prior to withdrawing with the date and the amount. If I have a choice, I will choose to become unstuck every time! BetterHelp came along at a great time for me - right after the holidays when the big let down starts to happen for most of us, if I may say so, and I had been diagnosed with complex PTSD.
