The company that I hired through BuildZoom ended up being extremely incompetent. The company asked me to pull permits on my name because it was supposed to be faster this way. The contractor did everything in its power to be fired. All this guy wanted was to get the first chunk of money.

BuildZoom would not publish my review of the company. Try to call the customer service, and you won't get an answer.

Whatever you do don't hire The Pine River Company (Rick Munne) and don't use BuildZoom as your contractor search platform!

Do not trust this company. They wrote to me in a private email to ask about my experience with my architect. Then they posted my words on their website with my name attached to it without my permission. They gave a star rating to my architect without me doing it, so they basically invented me as a user and invented my rating. I feel like they stole my identity to build content for their site and it’s ridiculous. You cannot trust anything on the site.

I'm seeing this on both sides. One as a contractor who wasted his time chasing leads where homeowners were not even sure who BuildZoom was. More than 70% had already contracted someone else before I received the lead. Total waste of time. Clients I was able to speak to said that BuildZoom called them repeatedly when they had requested a contractor from another website. Not BuildZoom. They are extremely disorganized. I would receive texts with phone numbers to call them back, and it always went to an answering machine. I would not waste my time with this company.

Although BuildZoom claims to research and verify the information on the contractors on their site, my contractor was a complete con man with a record. BuildZoom couldn't have done any background verification on him. Steer clear of BuildZoom and Tony Dwayne Woodall - A Plus Remodeling (Gainsville, GA).

After finding a few contractors, I reached out to BuildZoon for additional referrals on contractors who specialize in bathroom remodeling and ADU. Rory O'Driscoll from BuildZoom was very attentive and professional. He listened to my needs and was able to make recommendations based on my needs. He helped me set up appointments with each and provided background histories to each contractor to help me with my decision. Ultimately I went with one of his recommendations (Better Together Builders) and have been so happy with it.

We had a Safe Home Resource vacuum and replaced the insulation from our attic and crawl space due to mice damage. The crew was professional and detailed I got four bids, and theirs was the best. Tyler and his crew of guys (and gals) are amazing, keep up the good work.

I submitted my project through BuildZoom and they were really helpful in getting me qualified contractors. We changed our scope of work (from a balcony to a deck) and they helped find us better suited contractors. Customer service was great! Plus the contractor they recommended, Sapphire Decks, was very good.

Customer service is non-existent. Emails, phone calls, and text messages go unanswered. They sent a contractor's name to me. I contacted the contractor they came over and I was waiting on a bid. Started doing my own research and found contractor had an expired license through the CSLB website. When I brought this to the attention of BuildZoom, they said the contractor had a license. Never heard from the contractor again. Another contractor had a 1-star review on Yelp. This is what you get with this service.

The other creepy thing is they can see when a contractor emails and calls you including the length of time you spent on the phone talking with them. I have asked to remove all my information from their site we will see how long that takes. I cannot see a way to close my account myself. I will keep trying.

This company is a complete scam. I never signed up with them or asked to be part of my program and now there are two complete bogus reviews and they do nothing about it. They say the exact same thing and neither have ever been clients. They want me to jump thru a ton of hoops to consider having them remove them. Screw them and stay as far away from this piece of crap company as you possibly can. Feel free to contact me anytime to discuss.

I contacted BuildZoom to start my search for companies to build our new home. Right away I received an email and a text message from Brooke asking me when a good time to call me back would be. I responded, that the next day at 2:00 pm would work great for me, and she sent me a text back re-confirming that day and time. As I waited for her call, two o'clock came and went, so at 2:10 I sent her a text asking if she was still planning on calling me. When 3:00 came around, I sent her a blistering text telling her that my time is very important to me, and to NEVER contact me in the future! If this is a professional company, then I want NOTHING to do with it!

The team at BuildZoom was extremely helpful in helping me find the right contractors for my kitchen, then helping me negotiate the contract. My original quote (before I found the site) was $122,000 and BuildZoom contractors came in between $100-130k. After all was said and done, I paid $95k and am very happy with the final result. I have recommended them to several friends.

I used BuildZoom on a few occasions when looking for contractors. One of these occasions resulted in hiring a contractor, but on others I found a contractor elsewhere. In all cases, BuildZoom allowed me to get in touch with contractors that I would otherwise have no link to. I was also assured by the background checks, available information, and a trusted authority to moderate my interaction with contractors. Importantly, it is very easy to start and get in touch with contractors. Because of this, I always get a bid from some contractors on BuildZoom when working on a home project. It never hurts to hear multiple opinions and get multiple bids.

They gave my information to a fraud company. I made a contract for the company that BuildZoom introduced to me and the company got my money and never showed up!

Was not aware of the BuildZoom site. Ran across it accidentally. It is a very good and informative way for the public to have an honest voice concerning business establishments. It also is a way of doing a quick background check/reference check on companies. Had to submit my statement three times because for some reason it kept getting kicked out. Finally got it to go through. Sites like this help consumers to make better choices when looking for the right company for a specific job. Thank you again.

Although I ended up not going with BuildZoom for an electrical contractor, my experience with them was very positive. They were very prompt in referring me to several well-qualified contractors. At least five contractors called me and two actually came out to review the project. Scott McGrath actually spent a half hour going over the project step by step. BuildZoom is first class and very professional. I highly recommend them.

When we needed some water damage repaired, I was overwhelmed with the mess and trying to sort out the results of a general internet search. I came across BuildZoom, and they quickly were able to send contractors to review our project, then helped us through the bid process, and followed through to make sure we got a contract, and allowed us to review the contractor. Our Project Consultant was responsive to questions and proactive to ensure the project moved along the process. As a customer, I am happy with their service and would use it again if the need arises. Ram 24 Construction - I used this company for a remodel to my kitchen and was very pleased! I had waited many years to put granite in my kitchen because I was worried my backsplash, which is travertine, would be ruined while removing my current countertop. I was also having a hard time making a final decision on the color of granite. Ram 24 made the process so easy; they walked me through the process in helping me with the color choice, which I am thrilled with, and removed my old countertops and saved my backsplash! They have a very personal touch in a very professional manner, which was wonderful and so reassuring. I love my kitchen and was thrilled with the workmanship and speed at getting it done!

They came out and replaced the plywood and shingles and rebuilt a sunroom that was destroyed by a bad contractor and then flooded. They were awesome and professional; they treated me with kindness and respect. If you need the work done fast and right, Cox Construction is the one.

I found BuildZoom very helpful for getting bids from general contractors. It worked less well for getting bids from specific specialty contractors (eg. I got no painting companies to bid via BuildZoom for my painting work - I only heard from general contractors). I did find some counter/tile installers, and some hardwood floor specialists. I'll certainly use it again!

The first group of contractors did not respond. The second three all responded. I selected the one with the highest rating. Rocco Customs, LLC and they did a great job!

Brook of BuildZoom communicated well, letting me know the steps I needed to take and they did a review of the contract, letting me know what I needed to clarify with the contractor.

I would definitely use BuildZoom to select contractors for my next project.

I called the office today around 4 pm from a referral. Our AC unit was leaking. The lady on the phone was very nice and understanding. She said the tech would be out as soon as he could. Thinking tomorrow. I was very happily surprised when Rick showed up within the hour! Rick is very professional and knowledgeable. He did not try and sell me all new and improved equipment, he fixed the issue. He didn’t even mind the kids' questions or the dog being nosey. He did a great job and we are all fixed up! They have certainly gained a new customer and I would highly recommend this company and Rick!

There is a lot of info that you can get about a specific contractor from their profile page and the info definitely helps to find assurance in the contractor legitimacy. I got in touch with my contractor through BuildZoom and we got business taken care of. The contractor I hired has an amazing profile and good credibility which was proven through the work they performed at my house. I recommend this product to everyone.
