I wasn't too pleased with the company

By Russ, Verified Reviewer

Make up is mediocre. Once they get your credit card, they continue to charge it every month. I had to cancel the card to get the charges to stop. DO NOT BUY!

True Price Is Hidden

By Jessica, Bakersfield, CA, Verified Reviewer

Let me get to my complaint. I've had a subscription to another Guthy Renker product where It was a monthly delivery. I canceled it a while ago due to changes in finances (husband got laid off). I saw the infomercial, watched reviews on YouTube. I ordered. I went with the special of $49. They lead you to believe that all of that costs only $49, so it appears like a steal. But that's not how much it actually costs. They ship you a kit every 3 months (unless you cancel) but charge you $49 every single month. Why? Because the kit doesn't really cost $49 silly, it costs $100+ (depending on how you customize your kit). For me, my kit cost a total of $128 and it is conveniently charged at an affordable rate, every month. I don't even get a new kit monthly, it's every 3 months. I can cancel anytime. Had I known I was going to spend over $100 on a single kit over the span of 2 months, I would not have purchased it. I felt very deceived. They do include a small disclaimer saying that they'll deliver the next kit in 12 weeks and that every month you'll see charges, but it was not very clear how much the true price of the kit was.

As for the product, I ordered the Medium shade and it was actually a bit too dark for me, especially the loose powder (pore eraser). It didn't do that great of a job erasing pores in my opinion. It looked like a matte bronzer, though not too orange. It was just too dark to be a medium. It makes me look like I got a tan. I guess that's ok for most. So I called customer service because there's no way you can go online and change the color. You see, now that I remember, I used to order Sheer Cover. As a customer, you could log into your account, see previous orders, update the kits to include removing or adding items & changing shades, and you got it every month. IT Cosmetics does not provide an online account for their customers. I didn't know how much my kit really cost until I opened my package & saw the receipt.

Anyway, I called customer service to ask them to change the shade to Light & they said they would send me another one for free. Well, we'll see if that's true. That's also when they clarified that each kit is sent every 3 months but that payments are made every single month. I did not choose to cancel today though. I think I'd like to see how the new shade looks on me. Overall, I do like the foundation. I love the lipstick. The mascara is ok. Regular mascara weighs down my lashes so I always use waterproof mascara to keep them shaped, so I can't use the mascara alone. But, I probably will cancel only because I don't want to spend over $100 on makeup, even if it is split up in convenient payments.

Do I recommend this? I don't know, if you can afford it, go ahead and try it. It is worth a try but just be aware that while the website shows you great deals, the TRUE price is hidden. And if they're being deceptive about the real price and they don't allow you to see your own account, then I find that suspicious.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Trying to send the product back.

By Joanne, California, Verified Reviewer

The makeup did not work for my skin at all. It accentuated my wrinkles and felt heavy on the skin as well.

Now I am having a great deal of trouble contacting the company via phone or on their website to return the entire kit. That makes me concerned that they will send another (unwanted) supply and bill me.

The phone number is just a recording, and the site is absolutely hopeless for contacting them with any help.

VERY disappointed with this purchase.

Be careful of the mascara

By Claire, Wilmington, NC, Verified Reviewer

The mascara looks good when you first put it on but starts to flake after a few hours.

I don't know what they put in this mascara, but I ended up having to go to an ophthalmologist to remove a cyst from my eye caused by flakes of the mascara getting into my eye. I have never had this happen before with any other mascara (and I've had other brands flake but never caused any eye problems). Thinking it was just a fluke I used it a few more times and got another cyst.

Needless to say, I stopped using it.

Coverage does not last.

By Caroline Vega, Verified Reviewer

Bye Bye does not last. By midday you can see the redness come through. It does not work. I recommend that you don't waste your money to purchase this product.

The worst product ever.

By Deborah Hermosillo, Las Vegas, Nevada, Verified Reviewer

Worst and most expensive make up I've ever used. This does not give full coverage but feel like you're wearing nothing. It's thick, heavy and cakes horribly. And the website uses tricky wording. You have a choice of FULL OR TRIAL SIZE. To most people, trial means sample. So you choose FULL which is over $100.

Do not waste your money. I would give ZERO stars but it's not an option. I don't remember my order number because I canceled and choose to forget IT COSMETICS.

Knifed Again

By Madeline Semple, Verified Reviewer

I purchased this product at a cosmetic store hoping to get rid of the redness in my checks & tiny scars from poison oak, that occurred a couple years ago.

Well what a disappointment! Not only did it not do anything it claimed, it was not any better than my six dollar concealer.

Created by plastic surgeons, I personally think this is considered as knifing the public with false claims.

Save your hard earned money and don't waste it on this product.

Don't Waste Your Money

By M Flynn, IL, Verified Reviewer

I've suffered from Rosacea for most of my adult life. I've tried everything to cover my redness and flare ups. I use topical and oral medications but it's not a cure. I got caught up in the Bye Bye Foundation infomercial one morning and was convinced it would work by the demonstrations shown. Not so. They claim it's "buildable" but after trying four applications it only slightly covered my redness. By the time I arrived at work it was fading. It made my nose turn very oily all day and required me to use powder to cover the shine. The demonstration of the women sitting in the audience wiping the foundation from their faces and then reapplying without a mirror is bogus. NO WAY. I'll be returning my 5 piece kit. (The only thing in the kit that I liked was the lipstick.) Another expensive rip off. I'll tell you, though, that some good came out of it. I've purchased Maybelline Superstay Better Skin for a fraction of the cost with the best results I've ever had. It DOES cover in one application but is buildable as well. So in the end I am happy.

IT Cosmetics, Bye Bye Foundatiuon

By Sam, Verified Reviewer

Not only did it dry my skin out, they tricked me into purchasing a second starter kit for triple the price of the first kit by sneaking an autoship auto charge in the fine print. I'm furious because I don't have that extra money to spend and I only needed one starter kit! I think they're sneaky people. I will not buy from this company again because of their crooked nature.

Buyer Beware

By Connie, WI, Verified Reviewer

The products shown on TV are the concealer 0.17 oz. for $24.00, the foundation 1.08 oz. for $65 00, the powder 0.24 oz. for $24 00, the mascara 0.33 oz.

Compare that to the products they send you: concealer is 0.07 oz., the foundation is 0.51 oz., the powder is 0.095 oz. BIG DIFFERENCE. The company said the infomercial CLEARLY states we are receiving smaller sizes. Well, I've watched the infomercial 5 times, I NEVER heard them say that. The company refuses to admit to any wrongdoing. What do you think?

Another FAIL

By Wendy, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

Please don't waste your money. The IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation in no way is what's represented by the infomercial. I should have known better. This product is a heavy, thick paste. It DOES NOT, repeat, DOES NOT work as advertised. And, of course, there's no way to contact via email, as they want to get you on the phone to sell you some other worthless product.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
