Be careful of the mascara

By Claire, Wilmington, NC, Verified Reviewer

The mascara looks good when you first put it on but starts to flake after a few hours.

I don't know what they put in this mascara, but I ended up having to go to an ophthalmologist to remove a cyst from my eye caused by flakes of the mascara getting into my eye. I have never had this happen before with any other mascara (and I've had other brands flake but never caused any eye problems). Thinking it was just a fluke I used it a few more times and got another cyst.

Needless to say, I stopped using it.

Letting people know how I feel about the product

By Lisa, Chardon, Ohio, Verified Reviewer

I was so disappointed in this foundation. I, like all the other ladies watching the infomercial, was so excited to try this product. For me, my skin looked dry, and all the fine lines showed more than my drugstore makeup. Unfortunately, this is just another product to add to my collection.

The kit is not worth it!

By Margaret Garrison, Eden Praire, MN, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the $39.95 kit from the IT website and am extremely disappointed!

The lipstick made my lips break out, the mascara is dried and the brush damaged, the Bye Bye foundation is thick and sinks into my wrinkles, and the powder is worthless.

To top it all off, I didn't realize when I purchased it that I was joining the automatic club and would be getting this same kit in a few months. I found this out when my card was charged! If you decide to purchase it online, read the small print.

I am disappointed in myself that, at my age, I bought into this hype. IT products are no better than any other, and purchasing online means one cannot be sure of the freshness or quality of the product.

Conditions apply

By Kylie, Idaho, Verified Reviewer

I've been their customer for almost a year now. Overall, I like the products. It isn't as full coverage as a regular foundation, but it does cover beautifully.

I have normal skin with some acne scars, and after about eight hours of wear, I do look a bit greasy, and it breaks up a tiny bit. I was unaware, as it seems most people are, that their first whole kit is not the price as advertised. It is broken down into a monthly bill of $53.94, or $161.82 all together. You are then shipped another 8-piece kit every three months unless you cancel.

So far, I have not canceled, so I can't give any input as to how easy or difficult that process is. I have taken advantage of the Customize IT option and have been able to try their different products at the "members' pricing," and I've really enjoyed that. The representatives I've spoken with are clearly not from the US, but they're friendly and efficient.

The bottom line is, if you have an extra $55 laying around every month, give it a shot. If not, this isn't a life changing product. In fact, go to Ulta and pick up IT Cosmetic's CC cream. The ingredients on the back and on both products are word-for-word the exact same. Save yourself some money and try that in the travel size for $15!

I really liked the Bye Bye cream

By Lisa, Las Vegas, NV, Verified Reviewer

I loved the cream, but now trying to buy it on its own seems to be the problem.

I had medium, and the finishing powder is way too dark, but the cream was a great shade. It is smooth and easy, and I personally like the coverage; it is natural but covered my 50-year-old flight attendant skin perfectly.

It signed me up for the auto pay, and I had no trouble canceling that at all. I called the number and after the smooth talking operator figured out I was serious, future orders were canceled. That was it.

I would like a large size of the Bye Bye cream now after comparing it to several others I own (including Bare Minerals a past favorite), but I found one from QVC for like $60 or so (kind of pricey). Now, this is my only dilemma. The other products were fine from the kit, but what I really want to purchase again is the Bye Bye cream.

Rip off

By Angela, Monroe, MI, Verified Reviewer

I tried it, but when I tried to cancel, I was charged $161 extra! Not to mention I paid for two shipments.

Run from this crap; it is not worth it!

Terrible product

By Lauri Pfeifer, Galt, CA, Verified Reviewer

1. It is very thick and sticky.

2. It does not cover as advertised.

3. It does not stay put as advertised.

4. If you tend to perspire, i.e., from menopause, and dab lightly at your face here and there, you can be sure that IT Foundation will come off and leave you hideously spotted.

5. I disliked every product that came in the starter kit.

6. The mascara flaked terribly and was a constant mess.

7. I called and canceled any future automatic orders with a customer service agent, with whom I had a difficult time ensuring that my account was closed and canceled.

8. They do not have an automated system to email you a return authorization number, which makes me very uncomfortable because after reading some of the reviews of this business about continued charges after cancellations and that they are unable to email a return mailing sticker, you have to have paper and pen to write down the return address.

Beware

By Jeri Fowler, Mobile, AL, Verified Reviewer

Beware of ordering online from this company. What a nightmare. They use a third party for shipping and returns, to which my credit card was compromised. The bank and I are still dealing with this issue. IT Cosmetics could care less about this issue.

If you choose their product, buy it in a store and not from their website. It was a BAD, bad experience!

Not what I expected, but

By Rachelle, Pittsburg, California, Verified Reviewer

So, I suffer from bad acne. Thanks to Proactiv and getting out of my raging hormonal teen years, I hardly have blemishes anymore, but now I have these awful acne scars and some marks. I'm always on the hunt for the next best thing to cover my face flaws up as best I can. I saw the adds on TV constantly, so I figured hey, why not.

I was stuck between ordering "medium" or "tan" because I'm kinda in between, but ended up choosing medium since it being winter and all, and to my surprise, it matched pretty well. I like this foundation, but it's NOT for someone like me. It's too light, and it doesn't cover the way I'd hoped. But then again, I have high expectations for foundation coverage considering my situation.

I actually have a $6 bottle of Glamoflauge cover up from Walmart that does a better job of covering up for a fraction of the price! This product is too pricey for me as well, and I didn't like how I'd be getting the lipstick every month.

Nothing special

By Monica, San Diego, CA, Verified Reviewer

I get better results with a tinted sunscreen, drugstore concealer and mineral powder. The Bye Bye Foundation was thicker and shinier than I would have liked, the color wasn't a good match, and the finishing powder in the same shade was a TOTAL mismatch.

And of course, the price isn't $39.95 as advertised. It's $39.95 every month, including the two out of every three months when you don't receive any product. I'm hoping it isn't as difficult to cancel and get a refund as people are warning me.

Bye Bye Foundation

By Rose Britt, Oregon, Verified Reviewer

It is amazing!

In the last year, I have tried Bye Bye, Younique and Bibo foundations. Of the three, Bye Bye is the BEST! It does what it says, and at 64 years old, my skin looks better than it did even just a year ago. I recommend it to everyone.
