Too expensive for mediocre quality

By Rondi, La Center, WA, Verified Reviewer

I rarely buy from TV but I swallowed the infomercial hook, line & sinker! Way too pricey for what it is. For me, the lid is the problem. There's no rubber gasket (seal) lining the lid, so steaming veggies or anything else --- fuggedaboutit! ALL THE STEAM escapes, which pretty much negates the purpose. If I only paid half the price, it would still be a rip off! BTW, a few people said they complained & were told there was nothing they could do. NOT SO! Federal law requires the maker to refund 100% on any product purchased & shipped. If they refuse, contact Consumer Affairs & lodge a complaint. Consumer Affairs will throw a hefty fine at them.

Refund Run Around, Around and Around

By Jim Corej, Edison, NJ, Verified Reviewer

Returned the pot with utensils in June 2016 requesting a refund.

7/13 checked status of refund: was told to expect a refund in 5 days.

7/21 called: was told I can expect a refund in 7 to 10 days.

7/29 called: request escalated, was told to expect a refund in 7 to 10 days.

8/13 called: was told to expect a refund in 5 business days.

8/19 called: was told to expect a refund in 24 hours.

8/22 called: escalated to the Finance Department, they said they need 7 to 10 days.

Each time I called, I could never get passed the first level supervisor. Each supervisor stated "There is no one higher in authority that I could talk too." The CSR's and Supervisors I have talked are: #36, B78, G11, L79 ,L78 L74, P50, P64 and 1971308524. I was told there is no way I could be transferred to a higher authority. Need I say more?

Copper Chef Pan

By John Morris, Bassett, VA, Verified Reviewer

This item was order on 7/18/16 yet it was shipped to the wrong address. It was then returned to the company. I spoke with customer service today and they said they would send it to me via FedEX. Now it shows that my order had been canceled. When do I get my refund? I have never had this much trouble with a company in all of my 87 years of ordering!

It's not me.

By Jay Waldo, FL, Verified Reviewer

Used the pan 3 times. Seasoned per instructions. Tried to fry eggs. Took a good while to heat up. I do have a glass cook top and they usually do take longer for pots and pans to heat up. This pan took longer. The reason is, the pan does not sit flat on the cook top. There is a raised button on the bottom of the pan that will not allow the pan to sit flat. With the 10 inch pan it allows at least a 1/4 in distance for the pan to be elevated above the stove surface. All of the food slides forward due to the weight from the handle. Pan is going back today.

False advertising

By Sabrina Butler, Decatur, GA, Verified Reviewer

I received a Copper Chef pan set as a housewarming gift and it was such a beautiful set. But shortly thereafter, I used it only one time and happened to use the same tongs that the guy in the infomercial uses and it scraped the bottom of my pan. The copper came off and my food tasted like copper. I was very dissatisfied from that point forward.

I contacted Copper Chef and they went to ask me for a name or order number but I explained to them that it was given as a housewarming gift. So I was told that there was nothing they could do about the item and the scrapings or anything because I did not have an order number to give them.

All I did was what I saw the guy on the infomercial doing, I thought that it was safe to use the tongs because he used them and I saw no scrapings on his Pad. However, obviously once I saw the scrapings, I sit down and thoroughly read word for word through the whole manual and saw that it said not to use any metal.

I don't understand why he would use it in the infomercial if you're not supposed to do that. I thought this would be a great item but now I've only had the opportunity to use it one time and it got ruined so easily. I'm very disappointed with the product and I wouldn't recommend it at this point to anyone else.

Burns and sticks

By Maura Dickman, Bronx, NY, Verified Reviewer

Only had the frying pan for one month and now it sticks to everything. I tried a little oil and still no good. You can forget about a refund because company ignores you.

Discouraged with Copper Chef

By Betty R., Florida, Verified Reviewer

Don't make the same mistake I made. I was so excited at first with this purchase. The set looked great, until I started using them. I took very good care of them, but the scratches and dullness began to appear. I have 2 sets of stainless steel pots and pans that I purchased over 20 years ago and they look much better than the Copper Chef pans that I recently purchased.

The thin layer of copper used did help avoid the sticking without the need of the oil or butter for a while, but like others have stated in their reviews you can still purchase the copper pans from other companies at a much cheaper price.

Unfortunately, the Copper Chef investment I made will soon be in the recycling bin.

Got these pans for my new induction cook top stove. Do not buy if you have induction, they do not work for that.

Was never able to use pan

By Ch, Minneapolis, MN, Verified Reviewer

The first pan was defective as was their replacement even though they have continued to take my money. To date, I still have not received anything.

I have tried to use their chat to resolve this and they just say to have a good day.
