Pay attention and review the right product here!

By Chad Fitzgerald, Duncanville, Texas, Verified Reviewer

As I am reading reviews here, I thought to myself; I bet many people are not even reviewing the right product!

I have a culinary degree and own one of the best wedding cake companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I have bought the most expensive (Waterless cooking set for $5,000) and the cheapest (when I was in college). I love cooking with these pots and pans. I have a lot of everything, and these copper pans are the absolute best I have ever bought. And I'm talking about the Copper Chef pans, NOT Red Copper nor any other copper pans, but Copper Chef and Copper Chef Pro.

But please shop around, and stop buying from the TV and start buying from vendors like Bed Bath & Beyond, Sam's Club and Target. They offer all of these pans, and Sam's Club even offers the Copper Chef PRO set, which offers the biggest set for only $69.99.

I swear by this, and if I could post a picture I would show you I have 12 pans hanging in my kitchen right now. I LOVE them!

Not 100% guarantee.

By Evelyn Coronel, Aurora, CO, Verified Reviewer

My 9-inch deep pan is scratched on the bottom. They told me it happened because of cooking with high heat. I cook on a glass top stove. They say it is a 100% guarantee. They also say you can use temperature of 850 degrees, and I cook on medium heat. My other Copper Chef pans are not doing that. It makes no sense. Please help me.

Worst customer service ever

By Monica Buono, Michigan, Verified Reviewer

The customer service is horrible, and they don't care if you're happy with your product or not. I ordered my Copper Chef XL with induction cooktop on February 23rd. Upon inspection, I noticed that the pan was dented in three spots, so I returned the pan on March 4th for an exchange. I called them several times to find out where the replacement was and I was told to call back, so I did.

As of April 7th, I still don't have the replacement pan. I can't comment on if it works because I wasn't able to use it. I'm tired of waiting, so now I'm sending everything back. I will never order from them again.

12" round skillet sticks and doesn't come clean without scrubbing

By Davida Davies, Temecula, CA, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the 9 and 1/2" deep square pan from QVC. I fell in love with it. I even deep-fried food in it with no problems. My one complaint is that the grease that gets cooked on the outside is impossible to remove, but so far the interior has not been affected.

I liked my pan so much that I purchased the larger deep square pan, along with the induction burner. I have had no problems with the pan.

In December, Sam's Club ran a Copper Chef special that included the large deep square pan and the 12" round skillet. I purchased it. The skillet became my "go to" cooking vessel.

Then I stir-fried fresh mushrooms without oil and noticed that a crust formed on the skillet. When I attempted to clean/wash it, I had to use a non-abrasive scrubber (Scrub Daddy) to remove the crust. From that point on, the skillet has been sticking. The only thing that does not stick is liquid or food with liquid, such as sauces and soups. It also scratches easily, and I use wooden and other non-metal utensils.

I believe the warranty is 60 days, so time has passed for a refund or exchange.

Even though I have not had a problem with the two deep pans, there is obviously a problem with the interior becoming non-stick, based on certain foods or cooking methods. The company needs to address this. I would not recommend this product to anyone and will warn those I know who have purchased it.

I am going back to my All-Clad.

Eric is a liar

By Pete Stark, Port Barre, LA, Verified Reviewer

The ad shows using metal utensils with this product ( mixers, spoons, etc.). Don't do that because it'll scratch. In other words, the guy advertising these pans on TV is a liar. I'm one of those that has to put "claims" to the test. The pan flunked the test. I wish people could sue for false advertising like you could back in the early part of the 20th century. Eric, you're a liar!

Don't buy

By KJ Shier, Michigan, Verified Reviewer

I bought the 9.5" fry pan and grill mats. I received the pan and a copper coated knife. I called customer service at Cooper Chef and was told: "what do you want, we gave you a knife instead." Well, I want what I ordered! I have had the pan for two months. The copper is coming off the bottom. It has been hand washed and dried, per directions.

The pan sucks

By Richard Sobocinski, Michigan, Verified Reviewer

The pan worked great when I first bought it. After many uses the pan started to stick. So I called Copper Chef headquarters and they told me to put oil or butter in the pan, so I did. This pan is a short-term nonstick pan, and after months you will see what I'm talking about. Copper Chef sucks.

Not good for the long haul

By Judith A Condit, Ohio, Verified Reviewer

The pan worked well for about 3-4 months. It slowly deteriorated and eight months into use, we can't get the stains out no matter what we do. I used my fingernail today to pry off egg which an abrasive scrubber could not remove. Interestingly, the copper covering still remains, but black grease stains (inside and out) are part of the finish. Obviously, this no longer functions as a non-stick pan, and we are going to throw it out.

Copper Chef pans

By Joyce Gold, Nashville, TN, Verified Reviewer

I've bought almost every pan they sell. The first couple months I loved the skillets. I hand washed and dried them and hung them. Now I can't even use them. Everything sticks no matter how much oil. They are garbage. The only ones that seem to be holding up are the baking sheet and muffin pans. They are heavier and seem to be a little better quality.

I have to question if any of these positive reviews are for real. These are absolute garbage and deserve zero stars.

Very poor customer service

By Nancy Painter, Monee, IL, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the Copper Chef Pan when it first came out on QVC. I have loved this pan until recently. The film on the bottom of the inside started coming off, and everything started sticking.

I called customer service for Copper Chef, and they wanted me to pay $16.00 to return the pan and pay another $16.00 for them to ship me a new one. All the guy kept saying is that is our policy.

I called QVC to see if they could help me even though it had been over 30 days. They were so nice, Jennifer is who I talked to, she is sending me a FREE return label and sending me a new pan at no charge. Copper Chef needs to take a lesson in customer service from QVC.

Great purchase

By Ron, Hermitage, PA, Verified Reviewer

I ordered the Copper Chef pan, and received it within a week. I have used it numerous times, with great success. The chicken pot pie recipe was delicious, and the pork chops made in the pan were fantastic, with the steaks were juicy and tender. There should be no concern about adding oil, since it is not needed when cooking with this pan.
