Copper Chef, great pan

By Mike Allspach, Verified Reviewer

I ordered this after seeing an infomercial. The ordering process is a bit to be desired, because they do try to get you to buy a lot of add on's, but you just need to keep telling them no, and go on if you don't want anything else. Some of the other stuff might be appealing to some though, because I did buy an optional Copper Chef fry pan and utensil set, at a bargain price.

Now for the review. After I ordered, I found this site and got a bit worried by all the one star reviews, and nobody even gave it a higher review at that time. They did say it would be seven to ten business days, which is really saying two weeks. I received it exactly two weeks after I ordered. I did call in seven business days to see if they could tell me an ETA, and three days later, I got it, but I don't know if my phone call helped push it along or not.

When it arrived, I was very pleased. I actually ordered two complete sets. After unpacking, I looked them over and they seemed very well built. I tried frying an egg, and it worked just as it did in the infomercial. I really didn't even need a spatula, because when it seemed done, I just shook the pan and the egg moved around on the bottom, and I just tipped it onto a plate to eat. There was really no clean up at all, and I did not use any oil or anything, just cracked an egg on a bare bottom pan. If it lasts as long as they claim (and I have no reason to think it won't), I will be extremely happy. Having a life time warranty, I don't see how you could go wrong.

They are a very nice looking set, and I have gotten a lot of compliments about them. I would highly recommend it. You just have to be patient, and I have no doubt you will get them. This is NOT a scam, as some claim.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great purchase

By Mae, Boston, MA , Verified Reviewer

My husband purchased this, I told him oh no, not another tool for my kitchen. I thought he again bought something useless. I tried it. I browned chicken sausage, came out like it was browned on the grill. Then put that aside and used the same pan and made onion mushroom peppers, came out wonderful. I had to apologize - it was a very great purchase. I am going to purchase more.

Cooper pan

By Willis Sands , Inwood, NY, Verified Reviewer

This frying pan is a piece of crap. The pan failed the egg test the first time I used it.

Don't believe everything you see!

By John Dunkle, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

Clean up is good, but I just fried two eggs like they do on the commercial and they stuck like glue.

In the future they should offer to let you use it for a month or so and then, if you like it, you can send them the money to buy it! A money back guarantee in reverse.

Exceeding my expectation

By Randy Frederick, Castle Rock, CO, Verified Reviewer

My wife bought me the 10" skillet and 11" deep pan because I was tired of our old nonstick pans not working. I was skeptical of a pan sold on TV so I tested it by frying an egg with no oil. I was amazed that it worked just like the commercial. I have now used the pans for over two months and they perform better than any pan I have ever used. They clean up very easily and I have yet to have a problem. I made steaks last night and they turned out just as advertised. I have seen some very negative reviews about these pans and I can't get my mind around what is going wrong with their efforts. I am the main cook in the house and have loved cooking for over 30 years. These pans have exceeded my expectation and I am ordering another set for Christmas.

Terrible experience

By Daniel Fries, Loma Linda, CA, Verified Reviewer

I had a terrible experience with Copper Chef. They claim that nothing sticks to this pan, but I had a lot of problems with things sticking, even with using oil. I was told by their customer service that I had a defective product and to return the product, which I did, and paid $30 for it.

A month later I called them back and was told that my product would be shipped. I call back another two weeks later and was told that I still owe two payments and that I needed to call their collections department. I called their collections department, and they said it was paid off. I called customer service again, and they said that they needed a reference number.

It was nothing but a runaround, going back and forth. I don't know why they would have given me a return authorization number if they're showing that I still owe money on it. This is a very bad company, and I would not recommend it to anyone. And it's a very bad product.

Customer service

By Mary Anne, New York, Verified Reviewer

They have terrible customer service. I purchased the 9.5-inch rectangle pan for the $74.99 at a retailer that is about one hour away from me. When I got home and unpacked it, I found it was missing the four prongs for the steamer tray.

I called their customer service. I was willing to pay for the prongs but didn't want to spend another twenty dollars for the tray. Customer Service told me that they would only help me if I had purchased it through the website. I was willing to scan him a copy of my receipt, but he said it didn't matter.

I am so annoyed. I am just going to take the entire purchase back.

Copper Chef XL order

By Leonard Gaede, Decatur, Illinois, Verified Reviewer

I ordered the Copper Chef XL on 1/21/2017 and the "customer status" states that it was shipped on 1/24/2017. I was billed to my credit card twice. UPS states that the order information was received on 1/27/2017 and shipped on 1/28/2017.

Is this the way to do business? My order is a sham, and I was lied to from the beginning. I called Copper Chef to tell them about the double billing and was told they would correct this. It was not, and both billings still are on my credit card. I want nothing to do with this company, and if I do get a shipment, I will refuse it and send it back much faster than they did.

Don't waste your money!

By Andrew, Bullhead City, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I'd like to see how they do what they do on TV. And, don't try to melt cheese, cook up a marshmallow dessert or melt a wrapped piece of sugar candy. It'll never work.

Their customer service is worth less than the reliability of the product. About the only thing I like is the square shape. I tried to chat with a customer service rep (I think they contract that out to an outfit called Tristar). The answer I received to my question was a copy of what the instruction sheet says. It did not answer the question, and when I tried to pursue it further, I was cut off of the Chat.

DON'T waste your money, or at least know what you are getting.

9.5 S2 pan

I only used the pan a few times and the eggs began to stick. I have to wash with hot soapy water and rub to get to get them off. Does not work as advertised.

Bad warranty and customer service

By Richard Giers, Northern Wisconsin, Verified Reviewer

I bought the eight-piece Copper Chef Pro from Sam's Club online. The lids did not fit the pans. I called Copper Chef, and they told me I have to go back to Sam's Club for a replacement. I explained that this would be a long trip for me. Then they told me that the warranty is not covered if not bought DIRECTLY from Copper Chef. Pretty lousy warranty and customer service. I will take it back to Sam's Club, but only for a refund. I won't get a replacement.
