Disappointed

By Susan, Florida, Verified Reviewer

This Copper Chef square skillet is supposed to work on induction cooktops. It doesn't. My USA Nuwave Induction does, however.

I can't even boil water in it because it errors out my Induction cook top. That is the main reason I bought it. It also showed dark spots on the bottom after using it on the Nuwave Precision Induction cook top. But I cannot cook with it on that cooktop at all. So I'm disappointed.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Copper Crisper

By Ellen Grossman, Delray Beach, FL, Verified Reviewer

I have been using my Copper Crisper now for a couple of months. The food stuck slightly until I used it last night. Everything stuck to the cookie sheet. I soaked it overnight and still cannot get the food off the sheet. I am very disappointed as I will not be able to use it again.

Horrible

By Chris Rossiter, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

Do not believe the commercials; the eggs do not slide right out of the pan. These are the worst pains I've ever used, and everything sticks to them no matter what you cook. I will give them this; they are easy to clean out, but that's it.

Deeply disappointed

By Esther Grigoryants, Oklahoma, OK, Verified Reviewer

I bought the round Copper Chef Pan from Walmart after seeing the ad on TV. I was delighted to cook with little or no oil. I read all the instructions carefully, bought a plastic spatula, which I used when I cooked on this pan. I used the pan for two months and was very happy with it. Nothing burnt, the food cooked evenly, and the pan was very easy to clean.

Two weeks ago, I tried to fry eggs, and they stuck firmly to the pan. The fried eggs quickly turned into scrambled eggs! Since then, EVERYTHING sticks to the pan. I thought I had done something wrong, but no, I followed the instructions to the letter. I now avoid using this pan because I get anxious about all the food sticking to the pan. I now use my old pan which isn't even non-stick, and as long as I use oil, nothing sticks. Very disappointing pan!

Satisfied

By Joyce Jackson, Winston Salem, NC, Verified Reviewer

I have had my pans about three months, and have no problems so far. I read the instructions and followed them precisely to season the pans. I have used the recommended oils.

My only complaint so far is that you can't use butter or extra virgin olive oil to cook with.

Absolutely love my Copper Chef pans!

By Tatiana Kuzminski, Passaic County, NJ, Verified Reviewer

I first purchased the small square pan set with cover, steamer and fry basket from Bed Bath & Beyond. This was about five months ago. I love the versatility of this one pan. I can steam, fry, bake, book or sautée in one pan. It does replace many others! I did season it and do hand wash after use and towel dry. No sticking and no scratches. I made the best lasagna in it!

Having said that, I then watched the infomercial for the 11" pan and the specials that came with it. I used the PayFlex directly from Copper Chef and added the 11" sautée square pan and received the induction cook top as well. I use this square pan for almost everything and use it every day.

I purchased in May 2017. Tried the induction cooktop and was surprised at how well it cooked. One day, I noticed that the 11-inch lid was letting a bit too much steam out at the end June. Looking at it, the steel around it was cut crooked, seeming it defective. I finally contacted customer service and was told to mail back (at their expense), and they would replace the lid. So I packed it up and used the prepaid label they emailed me and waited.

About a week ago, I received an email alert that my package has shipped, and I would receive on 7/31/17. Well, it arrived yesterday, and to my surprise, Copper Chef sent me an entirely new set including the induction cook top! Can't beat that for customer service! Very happy to have received another of the 11" square sautée pan as I was ready to order another.

Not positive

By Nikki Whitworth, Oxford, MS, Verified Reviewer

I do like the copper cookware. When first bought it, it was phenomenal. I have followed all the directions in the fold-up pamphlet. Nine months later everything sticks. Even bacon (seriously, bacon?). Horrible. I have gone back to original stainless cookware that is 28 years in use.

The greatness wears off!

By Rebecca Moore, Rosharon, TX, Verified Reviewer

Wait until you use the pans all the time. My in-laws bought them for me. I used them for 7 months, and now they stick as bad as my $8.00 pans.

I wanted to cook a breakfast casserole for my family that was staying over; my mother, sister, cousin, cousin's girlfriend, and her 2 kids. I put the pan in the oven as I usually do, and we only got to eat three-quarters of the casserole. The rest was stuck to the sides and bottom. I was so embarrassed that I didn't use the pans for the rest of the weekend. I called my father-in-law to let him know, and he was sad that my gift turned out so bad that he went to Sam's and bought me a new set of pans.

Thankfully he didn't replace them with another set of Copper Chef. The other set works great. I donated the Copper Chef pans to the church to sell in the garage sale.

Rust

By Ebony G., Arizona, Verified Reviewer

I purchased a deep dish Copper Chef Baking pan. It worked great until a few months into using it. It began to rust. I called Copper Chef. They wanted me to pay to ship the deep dish pan to them ($14). They also required me to send them a check for $14.99 to ship a new pan. I can buy a better pan that won't rust for less than the $29 I would pay to replace the rusted product.

Non-stick - NOT!

By Robert D., Buffalo, NY, Verified Reviewer

I bought an 8" square Copper Chef pan. I reviewed the instructions before use and gave it an initial wash and rinse with Dawn and water. The first use was for fried eggs. The inner circle heated quickly, but the egg white in the four corners took way too long to begin cooking. The pan is too thin to control its heating properties the way a "quality" piece of cookware should. The eggs slid out as advertised without any oil. After rinsing with water and a clean rag, I used it again the next morning in spite of the cold corners. I allowed it to heat longer before use, but still had problems with the heat. The eggs stuck all over it. A few days later, after washing with detergent and rinsing thoroughly, then allowing it to air dry, the eggs cooked unevenly AGAIN and stuck to the bottom AGAIN.

Rip-off

By Carol , Falls Church, VA, Verified Reviewer

Buying this product is a scam and a rip-off. They keep sending me products and taking money from my account without my permission. I am $7.95 and $29.95 in the whole. I have to make a trip to my bank and get my number changed.

Do not order from this company! It doesn't even deserve the one-star rating but that's the lowest it will go in order to post my Copper Chef review.
