So far so good...

By Gregory S., Lynchburg, VA, Verified Reviewer

We have four chihuahuas (with a bit of other breeds mixed in on two). Our first order was for six bags of Nature's Blend, which we fed to all four dogs in incremental stages as per the instructions. Our largest dog, Gomer, has issues with allergies so we were keeping a closer eye on him to see if there was any improvement. So far, he has been eating the new food without a problem. He likes it dry right from the bag better than when we add water. We have noticed a change in his coat...shinier and somewhat softer. We have reduced his medication because he doesn't seem to be scratching and licking as much as before the new regimen. We are encouraged by what we are observing and bought 18 new bags in hopes the trend continues. Two other dogs will also eat Nature's Blend, but are not as enthused about it as Gomer. We found that a slight mix with their previous food will get them to eat Nature's Blend without a problem. We are slowly weening the mix away in hopes we can get them to a full diet of NB. It's interesting to note that the other two dogs also seem to prefer the new food dry and right out of the bag with no water. Our fourth dog, Paco, is 15 years old, and has no teeth, is deaf, and weighs less than three pounds. He likes to nibble on whatever the other dogs don't eat...bless his heart. We are encouraged by the early results of Nature's Blend...

Injured dog

By Annie S., Florida, Verified Reviewer

I bought the product for my old girl who was hit by a car and has a broken pelvis in 3 places. It's far too expensive for me, but I want to give the best care possible for her recovery. I have a 1-year-old pup as well who was not very interested in food, but can't wait until mealtime now. I ordered a second shipment, but not sure how long I will be able to continue. It's a wonderful product but out of my price range. I will keep it going through her recovery though! I have recommended to others who ask about the best food. (I am a dog trainer). I will continue to recommend.

Good stuff

By Howard P., New York, Verified Reviewer

My dog loves it and she’s been spunkier. No doubt the food is actually effective in a short time.

I’m sorry to have to say this but even with your discounts, the food is quite expensive for a retiree on a fixed...

Good product, questionable security

By Joan W., Mundelein, IL, Verified Reviewer

I received your food when promised. Liked the packaging, especially the zip lock closure. I mix it with grain-free kibble. My dog loved it right away and had no noticeable digestive problems. My dog is 13+ and had surgery for bladder cancer so I am feeding her the best I can think of.

I paid with a credit card that I have not used elsewhere and yesterday received a fraud alert on that card from a $3,000 charge from Italy. The card was canceled. I think I accessed your company thru Facebook. Never again. Now I am concerned that if I reorder, how I can safely pay.

Toby loves it...former picky eater

By Donna W., Iowa, Verified Reviewer

I received Nature's Blend and my dog a little Shih Tzu absolutely loves it, and I love that he loves it. I have yet to see health benefits just yet. He has still been scratching and licking but not really bad, just wish it would stop. Don't know if it's allergies or what. He was diagnosed with tendonitis in his right shoulder and given anti-inflammatory which helped but flare-up. He still limps occasionally, probably because he jumps off the bed and the couch and aggravates it so hoping this food with the good ingredients helps. It is a bit expensive for my budget so I'm feeding it as a booster mixer to make it last longer. I ordered three bags to give it a try so I will see how he is after 90 days. Just finished the first bag.

Old dog likes it

By Lloyd A., South Portland, ME, Verified Reviewer

Following the directions for using the food my 15-year-old dog adapted well. He has a better appetite. Most everything else is about the same. I would like to continue the use of the food but even with the multi-bag discount it is way too expensive for my budget.

Jury still out

By Tom S., Martinez, CA, Verified Reviewer

The transition from our old dog food to Nature's Blend was very straight forward. It will take a month or two to determine if the change has affected the issues that we made the change for. Specifically skin irritation and having to express her sacks on a monthly basis.

The cost of your food is a big issue.

VERY GOOD

By Carol S., Missouri, Verified Reviewer

My pup finds the food delicious. I hope it is the food that you say it is because I am totally invested in it and I don't like to be made a fool of. I am on your monthly delivery at this time, but I don't know for how long due to the price. My pup does have more energy and seems to be losing a few ounces.

Picky eater

By Jeanne B., Oceanport, NJ, Verified Reviewer

My dog Lulu is extremely hard to please as far as her food is concerned. I've had her nearly 6 years and I always wonder if she'll eat what I've put out for her on any given day. Since I've been mixing in the Nature's Blend she seems more willing to eat her food. Lulu is a sweet rescue with a mind of her own. At this point, Dr. Marty seems to be hitting the mark! Yay!

Dexter (The Santa Clarita Bambino)

By Rafael S., Santa Clarita, CA, Verified Reviewer

Ok, at the beginning, Dexter will rub his face in the nuggets but won’t eat it. So I smash the nuggets with my fingers and make like a little pile of the food and mix it with pieces of the beef jerky he gets for treat and he will eat it all. I have been doing that but now I am going to start giving it without mixing it with anything and see if he eat the nuggets. I am wondering if you have any ideas or have any kind of healthy treat that can be mixed with the nuggets. I like that the nuggets are healthy and raw, which I read is better for him. Thank you, Dr. Marty, for all your hard work and dedication you have put in helping our best friends and companion. You are a good man and a good doctor. I will recommend your product to family, friends, and co-workers. Thank you, Dr. Marty. God bless.

Best regards,

Dexter's Dad.

So far so good!

By Anna B., College Grove, TN, Verified Reviewer

Our Siberian husky is a little over a year old now. She was diagnosed with a rather significant zinc deficiency when she was about four months old. In addition to obviously trying to provide her with healthier food that would fulfill all her nutritional needs, I was hoping to see improvement in two specific categories.

1. Willingness to eat the food! I had tried countless different food options trying to find one that she wouldn’t turn up her nose to. Without fail, SHE WOULD REFUSE TO EAT EVEN A BITE! The only thing she would eat was the cheap grocery store food that my vet equates to feeding her a Big Mac. So I started prepping her meals just like I did for us! Salmon, chicken, appropriate veggies, etc. It had begun to feel like a full time job, not to mention I really had no clue if I was feeding her appropriately sized portions of each food given the fact that she was a growing puppy whose needs were constantly evolving! I was completely OVER IT!

2. Dermatologic Issues were also a full-time job in and of themselves! Her coat had begun to thin significantly and was also beginning to look dull. She was constantly scratching, and even worse she had begun chewing incessantly on her poor little paws that were ALWAYS IRRITATED and red (often resulting in the need for medical intervention). The vet put her on Apoquil to help with the itching, as well as the 3 zinc pills I was already giving her for her deficiency. When things would ultimately lead to having to be on a steroid and antibiotic for the infections that would result, I was constantly GIVING HER MEDICINE! On top of that I was trying everything from the wipes, shampoo, and mouse that Duoxo makes to prevent further skin irritation/infection! We had the conversation with our vet about putting her on a special diet for dogs with allergies, which at that point just seemed like more work!

That’s when I decided to do my own research and I came across your product. It all seemed to make sense to me, so why not try it!? Anything was an improvement from what I was dealing with! And thankfully, the very first night SHE ATE HER WHOLE BOWL OF FOOD. In fact, she scarfed it down so quickly I was worried it would make her sick! INSTANT SUCCESS with our main concern of willingness to eat the food! After about 2 weeks, I began to notice an improvement in her coat. By the time we went to the vet for her 1-year check-up, the vet even commented (unprompted) on the obvious change! The only remaining issue is the skin on her paws. We did ultimately have to give her a 2nd dose of steroids and antibiotics to get her over the hump (as her condition was pretty advanced), but now that she’s been off it for about a week I’m not seeing her regress. While she does still have some obvious irritation that’s healing, I’m hopeful the change of food has helped! Only time will tell, but we are extremely hopeful!

I only have one suggestion/request. I would LOVE the option to buy a larger bag! It seems wasteful and silly to constantly have to order the smaller bags. Think of all the saved packaging!
