Not the results I'd hoped

By Glen R., Truro, MA, Verified Reviewer

I signed up with this based on my dogs excessive scratching, and it does not appear to have helped her in that regard, but I will have to say she does look and act more energetic.

I would mention this to others but would probably not go out of my way and rave about it.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Hello Glen. My name is Kat and I am with Dr. Marty Pets. I am happy to read that your dog’s energy levels have improved following the incorporation of ProPower Plus into her diet. We have many customers who have seen their desired results in their dogs following consistent daily use, but we understand that ProPower Plus is not the best choice for each dog. Dr. Marty Pets always advises our customers to consult their pet’s veterinarian prior to introducing any new supplements into their dog’s daily regimen, as results may vary. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at kat@drmartypets.com. Thank you for taking the time to review ProPower Plus. I wish you and your pup a wonderful day.

One month

By Diane M., Florida, Verified Reviewer

I have been using ProPower for my two dogs for one month now. I have noticed a wonderful change in their coats, hair is soft and silky. Eating habits are good, their bowel movements are regular actually twice per day versus once per day. They are more peppy and active.

My large dog, which is a Great Pyrenees, still has an Irving problem which I was hoping would go away. I remain hopeful as we proceed.

So, so.

By Diane W., Lockport, NY, Verified Reviewer

She no longer eats her stool but drinks a lot more H20. Hesitant to order more especially since the price is going up. All depends on what your needs are for your pet. My fur baby has put on extra weight since being on this product.

Response to supplement

By Gina C., Orlando, FL, Verified Reviewer

I have a 17-month-old American Staffordshire and Doberman mix. I have had him since he was about 4 months old. He was a stray I found that I believe was dumped. I also have a 14-year-old mix breed. I started both of them on the ProPower Plus 2 days ago. My 14-year-old seems to be tolerating it so far although she did eat grass tonight and her stool was a little loose. She has very bad hip dysplasia and bad knees and her coat is very dull. My 17-month-old has vomited twice so far. The first time was undigested food that he vomited about 4 hours after he ate. Tonight he vomited on me, it was liquid with some specks of undigested food in it, again about 4-5 hours after eating. He was on a homemade raw food diet that I do cook. But as he has gotten bigger it became too expensive. So he is now on half Blue Wilderness Basics and half homemade raw food cooked. He was on FortiFlora and seemed to do well with it. I felt like he needed a supplement due to the raw food diet. He doesn't wretch when he vomits, it just seems to come out of him. He is getting 2 scoops a day split between his 2 meals. He's a very active dog. I'm a little concerned about the involuntary vomiting. My 14-year-old so far seems ok. Is this something to be concerned about? Order# DP1156453. Will this correct itself and continue with the same dose? Not sure what to do? Please help.

Unbelievable

By Melody M., Saylorsburg, PA, Verified Reviewer

Received the product, the jar is half full. For the extremely high price it should at least be filled to the top. You’d be lucky if it lasts 2 weeks.

Total and absolute rip-off for the amount received.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

Easy use

Came with scoop

Apparently good for dogs

Amount in jar is very little

Price is extremely high for amount in jar

Crazy expensive

Company Response from Dr. Marty Pets

Hello Melody. My name is Kat, I am with Dr. Marty Pets. I deeply apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced. I completely understand your concern with the amount of product being less than you expected. Due to the nature of the powdered supplement, the contents may have shifted during transit which releases excess air and compacts the product in each jar. The size of the jar is kept larger to prevent spillage and overfilling during the manufacturing process. I can assure you, however, that our products are filled by weight and each jar will have 30 full servings as labeled. If you have any questions or concerns that you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to email me at kat@drmartypets.com. I would be happy to assist you. Have a nice day.

Pre/probiotic seems to be helping constant eye infection

By Carl S., Sarasota, FL, Verified Reviewer

The probiotic seems to be helping clearing up my dog's ongoing eye oozing (green). Although we also asked the vet for another round of the general antibiotic she has taken in the past as well. But I think the powder in her new food may help permanently eliminate the problem. We are also feeding her the freeze dried food which she eats now 100% of the time. She loves it although it may be that she just likes the change from the c/d soft food. We are hoping the new diet and probiotic will help her to continue to avoid the bladder stone problem she had and we hope to get her in tip-top shape for a 10-year-old toy poodle as we are heading to the Black Forest in Germany for a month in August. Traveling with the freeze-dried food much lighter than with canned food. Thanks.

Our experience with ProPower Plus

By Paul K., Macedon, NY, Verified Reviewer

I needed something to improve my pet's breath. Dr. Marty’s explanation regarding gut health made sense. I started giving the product to Jake and his breath improved. It is expensive and the amount of material received is disappointing but when I run out I will most likely reorder.

ProPower Plus

By Mike R., Sterling, CO, Verified Reviewer

We have two boxers, names are Benny, who is 9, and Zumi, 2. Benny was diagnosed with lymphoma 2 months ago. His nodes under his jaw swollen with no other site infected. After starting him on your raw diet once a day and the probiotics we noticed an improvement of his activity and energy to play a little with the much younger dog. The nodes under his jaw have remained the same in size but so far no spreading. We love our animals and will do whatever we can to promote their health.

Much better

By Stephanie Z., Rockville, MD, Verified Reviewer

Titan’s skin and stool are in much better condition. We still have some emotional swings for a couple of unavoidable reasons which turn into diarrhea in the home. He suffers from severe allergies, separation anxiety, and hates trash trucks. Mondays, which are trash and recycling pick up days, are still tough. Overall I do see a difference for the better. He no longer digs at his skin to the point of bleeding and recovers from emotional diarrhea on his own without needing steroids and antifungals, which was our past routine.

It works

By Judy M., Bellingham, WA, Verified Reviewer

This product is working but her weight is not going down. My dad is still feeding her from the table. Lol. I’m sure if that stopped this product would work so much better. Overall, she is 3 years old and she is more active than before we started her on ProPower.

When we were at wits end...

By Judy B., Washington, DC, Verified Reviewer

I have a 13 and a 1/2 year old golden - with allergies, taking Apoquel and chronic ear infections and arthritis. We were trying to do the right thing for our dear girl, and whatever we gave her, or food changes we made, she had diarrhea as well and it made treatment difficult. We started the product after a week of drug treatment for her ears (they were bad). At the end of treatment period, her ears were still bad. After literally 4 days of this product, her ears began to improve. In a week, the ears were fine and so was her GI tract. We are so grateful for this product.
