SCAM

By Sherida O., Florida, Verified Reviewer

Run for the hills! I would give it 0 stars if that were an option.

A very dishonest company that tricks you into making a purchase and then charges you $50 monthly subscription fees that they do not explicitly explain at checkout.

So dishonest. Kate Hudson should be ashamed.

Not worth the hassle

By Bridget W, Newark, DE, Verified Reviewer

I had two separate Fabletics VIP accounts to reap the benefits of the first time free. Then I really didn't see the benefit of using it anymore, and they hiked up the monthly cost per outfit even if you were VIP. It was annoying that I had to skip each month or else I'd be charged.

When I finally decided to cancel they try and convince you not to. There is no simple button to click to cancel, which is silly. I even tried to do the live chat in hopes of it going quicker, but they still try to fight you on changing your mind or offering you extra points that won't even be enough to redeem anything worthy.

If you really think you'll buy a new exercise outfit every month then sure, this is the site for you. But if you're more of a "one and done," you're better off going to Target.

VIP membership con

By Helen Dennis, London, England, Verified Reviewer

I bought a pair of leggings in May 2017. I only noticed today that they had taken £44 ($61.45) for nine months. I was not aware of agreeing to £44 a month when I bought the leggings. They will only refund me £264.00 ($368.64), leaving £132 ($184.32) still on credit with them. I feel conned into spending this money with them.

I have not received any emails from them since my initial purchase confirmation in May 2017, on which it does not mention this membership at all.

Misunderstood

By Joyce Fyfe, Paisley, Scotland, Verified Reviewer

Not happy. I didn't like fact that they take £44 ($61.52) from your bank every month. If you don't want to use it, you can skip a month, and you aren't charged. You can purchase as a guest without the monthly payments. I thought that was what I had done but then realized money was being taken from my bank and going straight to my account. I had £88 ($123.04) to spend.

I asked to cancel my membership and be refunded. They would only refund half, and I was to spend the remainder. I am trying to spend the other £44 ($61.52), but it is proving difficult to get through the checkout without errors. I will never purchase from them again. Be very careful if thinking of joining.

VIP Membership - still charged even after skipping the month. And don't wait for items to be re-stocked.

By Stephanie Wager, Denver, CO, Verified Reviewer

After the initial month after my first purchase learning what the stipulations of "VIP Membership" is, I forgot for a few months to opt out of the monthly credit (aka automatic charge to my credit card after the 5th of the month to use in-store). This month I know I opted out, via my mobile device and before April 5th, and was STILL charged! Customer service said there was no record of me clicking to skip the month, and that I couldn't receive the money back and had to use it in store. I am going to be canceling my "VIP" Membership as soon as I use the store credit - it certainly doesn't make me feel like a valued customer.

Also, don't wait for items to be re-stocked. I was waiting for over two months for some leggings to be re-stocked before canceling my VIP membership (so that I could get the better pricing) and was informed by customer service that they often don't re-stock items. I wish they would remove it from their website if it is a product no longer being offered and is out of stock!

Won't order again

By Lisa Pugh, Minnesota, Verified Reviewer

I referred my daughter to this company, and she became a VIP. She tried to place an order using her debit card and it would not accept it. She then called to ask why and they told her she couldn't use it on her first order but could use it on any order after that. This sounds totally crazy to me. To say your card is good only on none promotional orders is totally insane. I will not be ordering from here again and will be returning my things to them. If my child's card isn't good enough, neither is mine.

Long time coming

By Laurie M., Los Angeles, CA, Verified Reviewer

I joined when they offered 2 for $24. I purchased a few other things and returned them because either they didn’t fit or the item was poorly made. Trying to get your refund is nearly IMPOSSIBLE! Anytime they had a so-called sale, you could not find your size or item either. Kate Hudson, being their spokesperson, should be ashamed of being affiliated which such THIEVES. I referred my sister to them and never received the credit for it. She had many problems with them also. They direct their calls to people in foreign countries, which also makes it difficult to understand. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Despise Fabletics and their sneaky tactics

By Celeste C., Glendale, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I tried the 2 for 24 promotion. Both items were the wrong size, returned them. The second order, one of the items had a huge run - I tried to return it but missed the return "window." I didn't care for any of the outfits and accrued 6 member credits ($349.65). Using MY member credits was a joke. First I'm told they'd be applied in checkout, they weren't. Told to only pick items costing $49.95 and they'd be applied in checkout, they weren't. I had to call and then pay tax on an order of $0. What a scam! I hate Fabletics! I am very disappointed Kate Hudson would promote such a lousy service.

DON'T BOTHER!

By Kris W., Portland, OR, Verified Reviewer

I ordered two pairs of leggings the 2 for 24 and didn't think anything of it. First-time purchase get 2 for 24 is what they made it out to be. Then a month later I was charged $49.99. I got on the chat and waited and waited and no one responded. I forgot about it, because life gets busy and was charged again. Since it was the weekend, I instantly got on the computer and finally someone was available on chat. I thought to myself, "wow, I'm in luck!"

But then the chat seemed to fail after I explained why I wanted to cancel and politely asked for a refund. They said they got the messages but then asked me why I wanted to cancel and then in an instant spewed out two long (pre-typed messages) just offering some $10.00 credit if I stayed on and oh they would hate to see me go.

The reason I don't want to buy anything else from Fabletics, was because their leggings didn't work for me. Too tight on top or so so on top for the ankle were too big. I didn't think they were going to have the perfect fit, like my zellas.

I don't think it's wrong to ask for a refund if I there's nothing I want. Any good company and customer service would run by the customer is always right. (Thank you Amazon).

They just kept telling me I was in a binding contract when I checked out and it was my fault for signing it. And when I asked them if they sent out reminder emails before charging my card, other companies do that sort of thing (and $49.99 is a lot, come on, this isn't Hulu), they simply told me they did. They also told me what day, the 4th. And when I looked at my inbox, there was only an ad and way down at the bottom was some fine print. Fine print telling you if you're a member, it's $49.95, and blah blah. That is NOT A REMINDER EMAIL. That's an ad email or a company being a bit off ethically, to justify their taking people for $49.95 a month. Companies like this bank on people forgetting because people are busy.

I would never buy from this company again and so very sorry I paid them any money at all. What a shame Kate Hudson is linked to this BS. Sure, you can say people should read all the fine print. But let's be real, look at the Frye Festival? Even those models who got paid to post didn't do their jobs and no one thinks they are dummies? (Maybe they do.) Fabletics, stop being a scammy company.

Not Yours,

A never again in my life customer.

Ripped in the first hike

By Julie H., Colorado, Verified Reviewer

I bought these leggings. Thinking they were so special and high quality. I will give them - the fabric is nice. The fabric feels great. I went on a hike the first time I wore these. Got back and there’s a hole in the crotch of them! For $50 you think I want leggings that get holes the first use? No thanks. Next.

Poor customer service

By Diane P., Georgia, Verified Reviewer

After placing an order at a cheerleading event, I was surprised that I was signed up as a VIP? For several months I was charged $49.95 for a membership that I didn't know I was signing up for. Customer service and live chat didn't work to cancel it, so I am now dealing with the credit card company.
