Not satisfied

By Scott , Dalton Georgia

I want to let folks know that FarmersOnly is a fake and lying site. They say you can sign up for free and then you can send flirts and receive them back but you can't. I have 115 in my inbox right now and tell you who one of them are from. I sent multiple emails to "JACK" asking for help and got none at all, so I am very dissatisfied with this site and feel they are very misleading.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Lonely Folks Beware: Seems a Little Shady to Me

By Anonymous , Arizona

I opened the "free membership" just to see what the website is all about. Added picture and set up a profile, which you can do as part of the "free membership." I immediately got "flirt" messages, which totally surprised me. I paid for a three month membership, so I could communicate by their dedicated website e-mail with the men that sent these "flirt" messages. Low and behold, these two male members immediately dropped off the website COMPLETELY after I paid. Four days later, I have had many (pages and pages) of supposed profile views without a single flirt or e-mail message. Nothing has changed on my profile since I first set it up under the "free" membership. It seems pretty strange that I got those first two flirts, THEN I paid, and low-and-behold the supposed "interested" members disappear from the member roster. I think someone from the farmersonly.com company sent me flirt messages from fake members in order to get me to buy a paid membership. Can't prove it, but seems pretty odd to me. Lonely Folks Beware!

Be careful who you meet on the site.

By Kay Beshears , Middle, TN

I met two men that played the role of a "good" person. One was a felon named James Micheal Blevins who was a pro con man and I ended up losing a large amount of money to him and he was physically abusive and the other told me he was going to marry me and I found out he was a "womanizer". Stay away from this site.

Technical assistance is very poor

By Bill , Richmond, VA

If you have a problem, technical assistance will hardly ever address you and your issue. If fixed at all, it takes a very long time.

My experience

By Anonymous , Ohio

Met a man on farmers. I realized after a court hearing today for protection order extension that was denied because his use of Rx drugs that caused dangerous mood swings was not permitted as evidence. Ladies it is a scary place out there and I will never go on another site. Questions that need to be put on a profile are do you smoke marijuana? Do you drink excessively? Do you have a criminal record? Sites need to do more research and also charge more. This would weed out some of the bad people that are just scamming and playing games. I have found most to be very inventive with the English language and not very honest.

I suggest you don't sign up.

By Denise Harris , Woodland park, CO

If you want to cancel your subscription you better do it at least a month ahead of time and then make sure it gets done or they will keep taking your money and will not reimburse it. Better yet, don't sign up.

Rip off and money hungry

By J.Tesch , Texas

I had only signed up for one month and went ahead and canceled. They charged my card for a second time and would not remove the charges. I had a confirmation email that had disappeared from my email to prove it. The guy named Jack was very rude and didn't believe me, would not give me a refund. Recommend using a pre paid credit card. I had used one but it was for $50.

As exciting as watching barn paint dry.

By Chase , Falcon, CO

The monthly membership is now $27.99 monthly.

Was a member on and off during a two year span. Customer Service is extremely rude and most times totally ignore emailed questions to the site even after you have paid for membership.

Once you let your membership expire then you have constant reminders that "someone viewed your profile" or "someone has sent you an email". You are reminded over and over, more than once or twice a day. If you inquire as to whether a particular individual has emailed more than once or if the site is simply telling you about the same one email, you are ignored. So their game is to make you feel many people have viewed your profile, sent emails and are interested.

Never even came close to meeting anyone. Most of the men on Farmers Only post no photo and many have no profile other than "I'm a man looking for a woman between 18 and 60." Those who have a short profile have wish lists a mile long filled with statements like "must have, must be, must like" and the majority of men on the site demand that a woman be of a specific religious persuasion. Few if any men are interested in anything other than a woman to cook, clean, fish and hunt. Most men in the 60 to 70 range are looking for for an empty headed "chick to boss around".

Match has a larger membership at a lower cost when you call Match and ask for the 25% discount (even for a 1 month subscription). And on that site members are required to have at least a short narrative where apparently the male members have a broader scope of interests other than killing animals and gutting fish.

A real rip off considering the hundreds plus who have neither a photo nor a narrative. I believe many of the Farmers Only users are weird and just like looking at women's pictures. I responded to men who contacted me and just never heard back, even though I had posted recent photos of myself and wrote an articulate and comprehensive profile.

Would not recommend the site to anyone. Save your money and don't waste your time. Truly a site for the simple minded lacking in interpersonal communication skills.

As for their tag line "City Folks just don't get it" Well, what don't city folks get? Being rude, crude, belligerent, small minded, intolerant and lacking in social skills and manners?

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

City Folks Scamming Country Folks

By Richard , Chicagoland Area, Illinois

The greater part of what appear to be profiles on the site are just abandoned and no longer used by the people that created them. The idea is for the site to appear to have more members than it actually does. Someone sits at the other end of the computer a sends you messages from fake profiles to tell you that to read the email or message you have to upgrade to premium membership. In my opinion, this is a scam designed to get the money out of you leaving you only to find out that the person emailing you does not actually exist.

Need to screen members

By Misty , New Hampshire

I have not been on this site for very long, but the one thing I have noticed is that too many men do not bother to post a photo or write anything about themselves or what they are looking for in a woman. One guy actually wrote, "If I knew what I was looking for, I would find it". How rude and simple minded. How is a woman going to know if this guy is for her and vice-versa? I do not think profiles should be posted by the site if there is no photos and if nothing is written in the essay part.

One more thing, what is going on with these men who say they would consider being with a woman between the age of 18-60? Am I alone on this? Being in my 50's, why would I even think of dating a guy who would go out with an 18 year old? We have to pay for this service before we realize what is going on, I think the site owners should be more proactive in the area of providing quality information to those of us who are serious about this journey.
