I've been a member of Flaviar for about 4 years, and have consistently been pleased with their selection of bottles and, more importantly for me, their tasting boxes. I've been able to try many spirits I never would have gotten the chance to through them.

I am also very pleased with their cost/benefit. Currently, the cost of membership is $300 per year. For this, you get quarterly tasting boxes and bottles, plus free or low-cost events throughout the year. If you can afford the up-front cost, you get plenty more than your money's worth. Their customer service is also excellent. I was most recently helped by Jason, but any time I've had an issue it was promptly resolved/addressed professionally.

The only reason I gave them a 4 instead of 5 is that I've had repeated issues with shipping taking longer than expected. Again, their service is always professional when this happens, and all but once the shipping was expedited once I reached out to check on it. Once the shipping logistics are a bit faster/clearer, I'd definitely give a 5.

I've had Flaviar for about 1 year. I never needed to work with their customer support until recently during a technical SNAFU. I worked with Sam who was really helpful with all my questions. We were able to discuss and resolve everything in about 24 hours of correspondence. Sam was really helpful and friendly. If you need help, definitely reach out.

I placed an order for 2 bottles and was so sad when only one arrived. I waited to make sure that the second was not sent separately, as suggested in the FAQs on the website. When it did not, I emailed customer service with information. Fellow-up was friendly and timely and my missing Jameson will be on the way soon! As a newer member of the Flaviar community, I appreciate the follow-up service that I received. Looking forward to my next tasting box!

I like the product Flaviar provides. I've been in the club for two years after receiving a membership from my wife for Christmas. It is a unique company and exciting to try new spirits I otherwise would have never heard of. I feel like I am gaining a good appreciation for the different brands and styles. I've dealt with delays a few times, but the customer services has always been great and happy to help.

I like that I get to try new things and there’s plenty of info on the website about how to distinguish flavors and such. Shipping has been delayed lately but that’s the case everywhere these days, and customer service is good.

I bought three bottles in November. I was hoping to receive them before Christmas. Alas, this was not to be, as they arrived in January. It took me while to track down customer support, but they were quite helpful. They also sorted out a problem with one of the bottles quite quickly and satisfactory. The long waiting times were unexpected and the lack of a track & trace code was a bit of a pain, but overall, I would order again. I'd bump their rating to four stars if they sorted out the track & trace system.

I've been a member for over six months and enjoy browsing through the selection. However, that's the best part of the site.

The rest of the site is useless. They have a wishlist but don't notify you when wish listed items come back into stock/rotation. I can't even FIND my wishlist anymore.

There are very limited search options (new arrivals, classics and then by type), and there is no way to customize your experience.

Although I enjoyed the quarterly samples, I did not like the pricing for it. $60 a quarter for the membership and you only get one free sampler of three small bottles. That works out to $20 a tiny sample. VERY expensive! There is no free sample every month like this summary states above. Quarterly is all I find.

They suggested a dark rum, Kraken. Very good tasting. Local store price was less than $18. Flaviar is $30. Again, the concept is good, but the actual pricing is high.

I've been a member for a year, but am going to cancel to save money to buy MORE of the ones I really like.

I love almost everything about being a member of Flaviar. The one thing that is frustrating is inconsistent delivery times. They tell you in the order confirmation email that it will take a couple of days to ship and then 3-7 in transit. Which is acceptable; however, I had an order that hadn't shipped for two weeks, with no status update from Flaviar. Customer service explained that there are sometimes logistical issues that delay shipments. I am fine with that, but if there are delays, it would be nice if the customer was contacted.

On the other hand, my last order was delivered four days after I placed the order.

My suggestion would be if you can handle possibly waiting a couple of weeks for delivery, this is a very good service. If you expect a consistent delivery schedule, you should look elsewhere.

You seem to skew browns towards scotch. I really only want bourbon choices. No Irish. No ryes. No Scotch. No Canadian. Just bourbon. I would like you to add a bourbon category. My welcome pack included a scotch. That one may never be opened.
