Then thousands of dollars later when their guarantee has not been met, and you dare to complain, you will finally receive a phone call from a very condescending "manager" who will tell you how wonderful she AND her company are and maybe you should have read the fine print. Followed by, there is nothing we can do for you and have a nice day. Goodbye. If there were a way to take legal recourse I would; however, this "company" knows that after they take your money there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Save your money!

Three months, zero dates. I was presented with quite a few toads, but decided to keep an open mind and say yes to all. No luck. Something is wrong here. Last week, I finally decided to join 3 dating websites, for the first time, and was deluged with compliments and offers to meet. MUCH better luck on a dating website. $3,400 wasted.

Looking for love? Then BEWARE of It’s Just Lunch. I will never ever use this service ever again. And I will warn anyone and everyone about it who is looking for a matchmaking service.

It costs an immeasurable and massive amount of money, and you don’t get much for it. I only went on 4 dates out of 12, they stopped setting up dates for me, they started ignoring all my calls and emails, and then they never refunded me. They are extraordinarily slow in finding people, make constant excuses for their slowness, find unattractive people a good amount of the time, and sometimes even give inaccurate information about potential matches.

Weeks and weeks can go by without even a potential match, and when you do eventually get one, whether you actually go out with the person and it doesn’t work, or you decide not to accept the date, the process of waiting and waiting and waiting starts all over again. Romantic connection is what most people want almost more than anything else, and waiting and waiting for every single potential match, and then even rarer, going out on an actual date, is extremely emotionally draining and stressful.

When you need to reach your matchmaker, it can be very hard, and when you want to reach the company, you never get anything other than the voicemail system, and no one ever calls you back. Do not waste your time, money, or emotional energy on this service.

A 6 pm dinner is planned at a local venue used by IJL. Both parties arrive with no idea what might happen. There is no avenue to make the woman comfortable. The guy has no chance to let the woman know ahead of time that he has plans with some friends at 8:30 pm that night. (A little white lie that has a huge purpose.) This will make the lady feel more comfortable on the date and that the man has no intent of a hookup. If the date is going well and both parties agree, the man can say he just got a text that his plans with friends have been canceled. It gives both parties an out.

For some reason, it is highly likely that my date did not feel comfortable on our date. There is a good possibility that things would have been different if she had known I was not planning to spend the night with her.

I would love to hear your response on how you make the lady feel comfortable on these dates.

I've tried It's Just Lynch in two different cities. The first one had great matchmakers, treated me reasonably, and most of my matches were acceptable matches even though I didn't end up with any of them long term. Then I moved to NY and tried another It's Just Lyncg branch and it was the opposite - unprofessional matchmakers, slow service, poor quality matches. I don't know what accounts for the huge difference, but the verdict on It's Just Lynch - it might be OK depending on your location, but do your research. You can use Yelp, BBB, and comparematchmakers.com to help you.

The experience hasn't been great. There has been a high turnaround with the matchmakers and I hear from them off and on, always someone different. I will say the last matchmaker, Joel, has been very good with follow-ups, very professional, and did a good job with the last person he set me up with.

I love the idea of this dating site, but it has not gone as smoothly as I had hoped. My current matchmaker is Joel. The matchmakers all seem to be very nice, knowledgeable, and willing to listen, however, I have not had one long enough to feel comfortable with or build rapport with. I think they try to find appropriate matches for their clients and I'm always looking forward to my next date. This is definitely a longer process than I thought it would be!

IJL are friendly, give good advice, and you're not going to waste time with crypto scammers (who knew that would be a problem with internet dating?). You will only be matched with other members who have signed up and paid the (pretty hefty) fee. So, if there aren't many members in your region, it becomes a waiting game. The reason for the mediocre score is if you don't find the service to be working for you, they don't let you cancel. This is somewhat frustrating.

I've been with IJL for a while. I first joined in Philly, then Cleveland, and now back in my hometown. I really appreciate the effort they put into finding me a partner! However, at times I don't think they hear what I'm telling them about the type of lady I'd like to meet and that I want to meet somebody in the area I live. IJL has set me up on dates at a greater distance than want to travel. I know, you never can tell where you'll find a mate, but distance is still an issue!
