    It's Just Lunch

    Average at best

    • Length of Use: Less than 3 months
    Overall Experience:

A 6 pm dinner is planned at a local venue used by IJL. Both parties arrive with no idea what might happen. There is no avenue to make the woman comfortable. The guy has no chance to let the woman know ahead of time that he has plans with some friends at 8:30 pm that night. (A little white lie that has a huge purpose.) This will make the lady feel more comfortable on the date and that the man has no intent of a hookup. If the date is going well and both parties agree, the man can say he just got a text that his plans with friends have been canceled. It gives both parties an out.

For some reason, it is highly likely that my date did not feel comfortable on our date. There is a good possibility that things would have been different if she had known I was not planning to spend the night with her.

I would love to hear your response on how you make the lady feel comfortable on these dates.

    Pros and Cons:

    • Supposedly match making expertise
    • We can dictate dates and times for dates
    • Follow up with each dater
    • Venue
    • How the dates are set up and that I cannot receive input that my date provided when there is no second date!
    • No prompt attention to additional follow up calls from my matchmaker

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Dave, we always recommend that you be open and honest up front. The dates we arrange for you and your dates are meant to be light, casual and fun with no obligation. All of our Clients know our process, that we work with partner locations and that the dates feel safe and comfortable. We always recommend honesty and good communication on your dates and if you are interested in seeing your date again, let them know.
