Lectin Shield review

By Allan M., Australian Capital Territory, Australia, Verified Reviewer

Wow, I'm 62, look like 52 and feel like I'm 30! Dr. Gundry's polyphenol-rich, lectin-free diet and GundryMD dietary supplements like Lectin Shield are renovating my body and making me look and feel younger. Lectin Shield is an easy and convenient way to protect your body from reacting to the damaging effects of lectins that slip past a mainly lectin free diet. Once I was an obese middle-aged 104kg man who suffered from fatigue and thought my life was over. I had never heard of a lectin or the role they play in nature and the food chain. I made many positive changes to my diet but couldn't bust through the 88 kg mark. Thanks to Dr. Gundry for sharing his knowledge and research into the causes and effects of foods that make us overweight and unhealthy, and my thirst for knowledge to improve my health, I reckon I found the secret to unlocking a healthier life. I tuned in to Dr. Gundry's blog, videos, and books to educate myself about what can and does overcome the damaging effects of eating the typical western diet. For about 30 years I also suffered from some itchy skin rashes in my crotch and butt cheek. I also had intermittent outbreaks of pain in my shoulder and hands. After reading Dr. Gundry's work on lectins and polyphenols, I changed to a mainly lectin free, polyphenol-rich diet. I use Lectin Shield as a daily defense against the rash and pain returning. It works for me. Try it. It might work for you too.

Lectin Shield review

By Jean O., Langlois, OR, Verified Reviewer

I only took the product a couple of times in December when I was eating some food with lectins in them. The Lectin Shield seemed to work fine.

I did the Phase 1 program and now am in Phase 2 and have not consumed any lectin-based food, so I have not needed to take Lectin Shield.

Lectin Shield

By Ann M., British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Hello Dr. Gundry,

My husband and I have been following The Plant Paradox program since January 1, 2019, partly to lose weight and to keep our bodies as healthy and youthful as possible. I gave the "good" rating because I'm not sure if it's the Lectin Shield, the other products or the change in food that is resulting in the weight loss and less brain fog. And we've been taking the whole gamut of Prebiothrive, Primal Plants, Vital Reds plus psyllium and I've been taking the ProPlant Complete Shake and the Heart Defense as well. My husband is quite the cynic, cheats a bit, but when the weight dropped 5 lbs in 2 weeks, he felt much happier about not having his milk or other food favorites.

Good and helpful way to help reduce lectins.

By Nancy L., Portland, OR, Verified Reviewer

I have yet to use the entire supply of my first order. Awaiting a visit to my doctor to evaluate my diet plan as I’m type 2 diabetic. I’m moving forward using their cookbook recipes to prepare healthier meals for your family.

First try

By Alice M., Victoria, Australia, Verified Reviewer

I have only been using Lectin Shield for two days but seems like a great product. It works well for my mum.

I'll use when I go on holiday and might have lectins, I'll give a more comprehensive review then.

Reflux and stomach discomfort much improved

By Doug H., Boise, ID, Verified Reviewer

It seems that my reflux has really improved. I can eat popcorn at night and I don't wake up with heartburn like I used to (what's a movie without popcorn?).

My stomach discomfort has also toned down.

I look forward to even better results. I definitely would recommend Lectin Shield.

Lectin Shield

By Jan C., New Zealand, Verified Reviewer

Initially I took myself off the nightshade foods and wanted to see if I felt any better, and yes, I do. The pain in the lower abdomen has gone although I still experience a little wind, but nothing like I was getting. I only weigh 58 kg, so weight is not an issue.

I started on a full course of tablets but going to the toilet not too many times a day, so I have cut back to one per day until I feel happy with my regularity.

No more ice cream

By Dien Long L., Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I feel much less craving for ice cream! Before I used to have 1 liter of ice cream per week.

I guess the Lectin Shield allows for good absorption in the intestine so I have enough nutrients, so I have no more craving for ice cream.

Lectin Shield

By Vince F., St Louis, MO, Verified Reviewer

I have been having stomach/intestinal pains for years. After many tests the doctors recommended something for heartburn. They make me feel sick and don't help much. I no longer take their recommended product. I use "Heartburn Stop." Was taking up to 4 per day. The "Lectin Shield" seems to be doing a good job of helping reduce my discomfort. I now take at most 1 and 1/2 Heartburn Stop. Sometimes none. It has only been a month, so I am still not positive.

Lectin Shield results

By Amanda T., Tweed Heads, New South Wales, Australia, Verified Reviewer

I've been taking Lectin Shield for about three weeks now. I've noticed that when taking it, I don't have so many tummy issues, like bloating or gas as I may have in the past. I also noticed my fatigue is not as bad, but still some ways to go with improving things there. I feel as though I have more work to do on clearing my gut and resetting things for there to be a radical difference and will look into it, but there are certainly changes I have noticed.

A good preventative measure

By Maryellen S., Scottsdale, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I've been on a lectin-free diet for about a month now. I've experienced quite a few very positive results from it, including losing 6 pounds, better skin appearance, and improved digestion.

Unfortunately, I still experience fatigue and have subsequently developed headaches, which I didn't have before the diet. Yet, I'm still optimistic because so far, what I've learned from Dr. Gundry makes a lot of sense. He talked about a patient in his video that was a vegetarian and had what "seemed" to be a healthy diet. My health problems started 18 years ago after I had been a vegetarian for about a year. I ate a lot of beans at the time. Then, I got mono and never truly recovered.

I use Lectin Shield any time I know that I am eating something that might possibly contain lectins...like eggs that are not from pasture raised chickens. I think the Lectin Shield protects me from having reactions or alleviates reactions (such as itchiness).

I can't say that I feel different when I take Lectin Shield. However, I do think the ingredients are unique and are most likely having a positive effect on my health.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
