I got my Livia about four months ago and so far I love it. I had to suffer from heavy pain while my period and with my Livia, I'm finally able to say goodbye to painkillers while my period. In the beginning, I felt a bit irritated about the electric signals I felt in my belly, but you get used to them very quickly. I think the greatest thing about Livia is its size, I even sleep with it on sometimes and because it's so small it doesn't disturb me at night.

The gel pads are a good thing, too, but quite expensive, especially when you need to pay the shipping to Germany, that's why I only give four stars to Livia. But in my opinion you don't need to change them every month, I use them for two or three months until I change them and this works well for me.

My friend gave me Livia as a gift, I was skeptical but I’m willing to try anything. My cramps are so severe I usually can’t get out of bed for two days (I have endometriosis). It took me a few hours to get used to the "shocking" sensation, but I was pleased when the shocking turned into numbing my cramps. Although I was still in pain, I was able to get out of bed and be productive. I actually purchased a second one for my back and use them both during my most painful days.

I was skeptical about the device, but I figured for the promotion price it was on, it was worth the try, so I went ahead and got the subscription. It did take a bit for the item to arrive, but boy was it worth the wait! I wear it at work and at home and it's been an amazing help for pain relief and faster than any pain killer. I've also tested the theory of it, if the pain would come back immediately, it didn't, so even after-effects are worth it. I have severe endometriosis so I use this more frequently in the month than most users may and it's been so helpful.

Livia supposedly is a drug-free way to alleviate menstrual cramps through the device sending small electric surges. I wasn't going to lie, I was a little skeptical at first and spoke with my doctor and she explained that it comes down to personal preference. There hasn't been significant research for her to give a definitive medical recommendation. I decided that I would give it a try. Upon first use, I didn't see any differences but that was mainly due to the fact that at the time I wasn't experiencing cramps. I have only had to use it a couple of times since and it's been great so far. I am hoping that over time it will pay off and show more benefits.

The ordering process was smooth, however, the number of times I had to contact customer care to even see if it had been shipped out was disappointing. After much discussion, they were able to refund the initial month (since it didn't arrive until 5 weeks later) and provide additional monetary support. So the main moral of that portion is the fact that they may still be a small company but they are willing to admit when things don't go as smoothly and help customers out.

The device works as a standard TENS machine in polished, portable packaging. If you have mild to moderate cramps, this will work for you. If your symptoms are severe, it may work in combination with other treatments.
