    I ordered the product because I thought it was $19.99. I did not read the fine print! Instead of returning it in 30 days, I was contractually obliged to make five $65 payments which amounted to over $355! I honestly didn't like the product; it's too heavy, and the machine works like a water pick. BEWARE!

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

  • Scammer alert!

    Overall Experience:

    My mother ordered this for me as a gift, and all this time she thought she had paid $29.99 for it. She noticed about six months later that these scammers had been billing her $68.99 every single month! To top it off, I never received anything! Now the "company" is giving her a hard time trying to get her money back. Ugh, unbelievable!

    Would I recommend this? The answer is HECK NO! Scammer alert! THIEVES.

    Overall Experience:

    After seeing the commercial, I needed this product! So I ordered.

    PLEASE, I BEG you to read the return policy! You will NOT order after seeing all the crap you have to go through to get your money back!

    But here's the thing that angers me about this company. I followed ALL the rules for the return. I never used anything, so I taped it up, got my RA#, and returned it within the time said. I NEVER got a refund! After calling and complaining numerous times and being told "it was in progress," well, I just gave up. I guess that's how they make their money! Do NOT buy this!

    I actually like the product and until today, about 40 days in, I would have told you so. Bait and switch. A few dollars in and I just found out that I'm on the hook for five payments of $71. Plus, it looks like by reading the reviews, I might have a hard time getting them to stop sending me the regular $35 worth of makeup. She mentioned no restocking fee on the phone for my first return. We'll see.

    I NEVER would have ordered the thing if I knew it was gong to cost $350. I even upgraded to the three speed as "heck, it's only $10 more." BS.

    I was actually on the phone with the lady when the five payments thing surfaced for me. She knew her legal mumbo jumbo and told me exactly where the fine print can be found and that "many people overlook it."

    Clearly, it is designed to dupe you.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    What you are led to believe is that they are giving you a good deal. Not true. They will charge you in the end, and $19.95 turns into hundreds of dollars, or you pay to ship it back. They take weeks to mail it to you, weeks to refund your money and you get to wait weeks to return. And don't forget to buy insurance because you will be charged.

    Unfortunately, I googled reviews for this system AFTER I received it. I saw an infomercial for the Luminess Air one Sunday afternoon when I was at my office working. I'm 42, and my age is starting to show so I was floored that I could buy this for $30!

    I ordered online, read all the pages pretty thoroughly as I was checking out and thought I had gotten a really good deal. Fast-forward to when I received the product. I opened the box and read on the packaging slip that I would be billed $69.98 in five monthly installments, plus I'm automatically enrolled in some make-up delivery system. Holy cow!

    I haven't even used the product yet, and I'm trying to figure out how to return it. A lot of the reviews I've read have said people haven't been properly refunded even when they did return their product, so I'm a little scared to try to return it and be out the money AND out the product! It's unfortunate that this company feels they need to hide the price of the product in order to sell it. It's my fault I clearly missed something in the fine print, but it was very misleading.

    I ordered a Luminess Air and never received it. It's going on three weeks now and it is saying that my order was shipped and received, but I never received it. I'm very unhappy and sent emails and called, but no one got back to me but yet. I was charged, so I'm going to have to dispute this with my bank.

  • Bait and switch?

    Overall Experience:

    While I like the ease of use and product in general, I'm returning my Luminess Airbrush System because I feel that what I ordered and what I received are two different items.

    I ordered the 3-speed professional system. However, the paperwork says PC-100 (SKU) but the box says PC-250.

    I've tried communicating with the company, both by email and phone, and they're trying to tell me that the products are the same thing. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but I was told they're extremely busy and that it would take 24-48 hours for someone to return my call.

    Needless to say, I'm not comfortable paying hundreds of dollars for what, in my mind, is a completely different product than what was ordered. I've requested an RMA #, and I'll be returning it today.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

  • Great cover, excellent finish

    Overall Experience:

    I was cautious at best. Let me start with this: the commercials are misleading.

    That being said, anyone who is accustomed to using makeup and is skilled with it can learn to use Luminess like a pro. I've had mine for over a year, and I love it. It gives good (medium), not full coverage, and doesn't cause any acne. I use it and am always given compliments, such as "you look great," "you look so pretty," even when dressed casually. You just look really finished.

    Always use the primer, and with time you will learn to use the highlight and the bronzer to create the same effects faster than with brushes. I use it to apply the blush for lip tint, and it's excellent and lasting. I love it. It lasts ALL day. If you have dry skin, you should exfoliate and moisturize as well.

    I LOVE my Luminess, and I even used it on my 74-year-old mom for special occasions. It isn't expensive by comparison. I don't care for their mascara. However, I have even traveled with my smaller unit.

    I love it, and I am glad I made the investment.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • Scam, fraud, unethical company!

    Overall Experience:

    I called in late one night after seeing an infomercial and thought I was getting something really neat for $34.99. Little did I know that when I received it, I would continue to be billed for a system costing over $300.00.

    They also started sending me additional makeup and deducting money from my account unauthorized. I tried to cancel prior to the 30-day so-called "money back guarantee" and to return everything (which was still unopened), and all I could do is get a response from a so-called "stylist" by text. By that time they had deducted three payments of $78, plus payments for makeup that kept getting shipped for $34.99.

    I went to my bank to dispute this. My bank originally gave me back the money. I had to pay to ship the machine and products back, and when it was all said and done, my bank ended up re-charging me for the reimbursement because they lied and stated that I went online to order and the website states the process and info about the payments! Oh, and by the way, they charged me a $75.00 restocking fee for returning it! So now I'm frustrated, out over $300.00, and I am sure I am just one of many like this. This is a sick, unethical company.

    P.S. The only reason my bank allowed the charges is because of specific laws and regulations they have to meet, and apparently this company has found the loophole in becoming an expert in fraud.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
