Nice lashes, but PRICEY

By Dorothy Distefano, New York, Verified Reviewer

I have heard about the applicator, but don't have one, so it takes me a ridiculous amount of time to put them on because my lashes curl so much and they push the false lashes apart.

The cost is prohibitive to buying multiple pairs.

I also tried to order the special on the remover, but the site didn't add it to my order and when I emailed, they wouldn't add it.

If only these came with the applicator and were more economically priced and the site worked properly. Let's just say I wish it was all perfect because they look nice when I can actually get them on my lashes.

Use of a variety of lash types yielded mixed results

By Sharon Sanders, New Mexico, Verified Reviewer

I've purchased lashes in several of the available types. My comments are below.

Original and Accent lashes: They are both fairly natural looking and easy to apply with a little practice. The Original lashes are straight and do not follow the curve of the lid. However, by adding eyeliner at my lash line as well as along the inside/upper eyelid rim, I'm able to help disguise the straightness and achieve a nice look, overall. The Accent lashes are also straight, but because of their small size, they do appear to follow the curve of the lid. The look of the Accent lashes is also enhanced by using eyeliner.

I've used both types on my easy/natural days when I want to enhance my look without much effort, and importantly, without paying the price of the eye irritation I normally get from using mascara and/or glue-on lashes.

Full-Size Lashes: These lashes, while the individual lashes are fairly natural looking, are not very full. As applied, they do not get sandwiched in the same manner as the other varieties. This means that they do not get doubled. Because they are not very full, the magnets are more visible. I like that the new design incorporates the use of two magnets per lash rather than one. By having small magnets on the ends of each lash, the lash follows the natural curve of the eyelid, once applied. Thus, the straight look is eliminated. Smart! However, the lash is too large for my eye, and adjustment is impossible. I'm hoping that future production will include a variety of sizes as well as a fuller look.

Bold: I did not care for these at all. They look very heavy, clumped, and unnatural. There is no enhancement with eyeliner or mascara that can possibly help!

Additional Comments: I find that all of these can be tricky to apply, and that practice is required. I really like the concept, and I wanted this to work, so I put in the effort. Applying them using plastic (not metal) tweezers works well. I hold the top lash in place by hand, then place the bottom lash in place with the tweezers. I use a pair of lash applicator tweezers that came with a package of glue-on false lashes.

Again, I applaud their most recent dual magnet design and hope you can produce them in more sizes and with greater fullness, as well as a curved design in the half-lash type.

Amazing lashes!

By Debra Clark, Cheshire, CT, Verified Reviewer

I actually purchased these for my son's girlfriend because she wore lashes for school cheerleading. They were a Christmas gift to her. She absolutely loved them. I would like to try them myself as I hate how mascara clumps all the time and I have tried many different mascaras. I would highly recommend these hands down!

Good quality but still hard to put on!

By Jessi Harris, Colorado, Verified Reviewer

My friend raved about these lashes and promised they were so easy to put on. She got the kind that only has one magnet and somehow I apparently got the new kind that has a magnet on each end. I have smaller and deeper set eyes, and it takes me so many attempts to put them on where the magnet is sitting right against my lash line and sits just right so that the middle un-magnetic part is not puffing up between.

Once they are on, I love how glamorous they are and make me feel, but it is such a task to put them on that I hardly wear them. I also worry about them shifting during my wear due to the fact that my lash line is not exactly as wide as the magnets need to be separated, and then sometimes the magnet slips further down on to my eyelashes, which makes the magnet apparent and obvious that I am wearing false lashes.

I bought two pairs to try them out and spent $138. About a week later, there was a deal for $200 to try all the four different kinds of lashes. I wish that option had been available for me because I think if I had the opportunity to try the ones that are just on the ends with one magnet, I may get more use out of my purchase. I definitely think the product as a whole is great, but I just am not in love with the way the dual magnet situation is for my eyes. For special occasions, like New Years, I was willing to take the extra time to put them on, but I wish I had options for every day.

I would love more opportunities for sampling the different kinds and styles of lashes you offer. I had also wanted to get a pair for my mom for Christmas, but I had so much trouble with the ones that I got that I know she would never want to try it.

All in all, I would recommend these lashes to others, but I would recommend they wait for a time they can get multiple styles at once so that if they don't like the kind with the two magnets, the one magnet ones will work for them at least and then they will have options to try and get used to! I wish I would have known!

Love the concept - but the lash shape and length is wrong for me

By Carri Maas, California, Verified Reviewer

I bought the original lases (2 pairs, $69 plus tax and shipping) and the shape and length of these eyelashes just don't work for me. The lashes only attach to the outer edge of my eyes (less than half of my eyelid), and the length of the shortest portion of the lashes themselves is so much longer than my natural lashes that they look strange and obviously fake. Maybe I can trim them? Or perhaps a different pair will fit my eyes better? At the cost, I don't know that I will keep trying.

Look good but not as easy as advertised

By Phyllis Sally, Jacksonville, FL, Verified Reviewer

Overall, the lashes are nice, and they look pretty natural on. They are not as easy to put on as the video. The strength of the magnet is not strong enough or long enough as I lost one side and had to take the other side off. The magnet needs to be stronger and longer to make it stick and not dangle at the end.

Must try, but have realistic expectations

By Jessica Elias, Inland Empire, CA, Verified Reviewer

I was so excited and intrigued to try One Two magnetic lashes. I thought they would be life-changing, the way clip-in hair extensions had been for me. I LOVE the idea of magnetic lashes and the possibility of ease of use. Although my experience has not been life-changing, it has been okay.

First of all, I highly commend the customer service and the communication of this company. Very excellent, friendly reps, fast shipping, and not to mention, the weekly email newsletter. I really feel this company strives to satisfy the customer.

With that being said, the lashes could use some improvements. The lashes are not very easy at first. If the lashes do not hit against your lash line, they are very noticeable. Also, they do not blend very well with the natural lash. Even the full strip One Two Lash gives an obvious appearance due to the magnets only being on the outer corners. With an exposed mid- eyelid, it’s a sure giveaway. Also, the quality of the lash fibers seems lacking when compared to some less pricey strip lashes made of high-quality lashes (mink or cruelty-free).

Also, the length of the lashes is not suiting for every eye shape. There is no way to cut them down due to the placement of the magnet. So I’m left with a strangely oversized eyelash.

I have lost many a real lash to the numerous attempts at magnetic lashes. My natural lashes have fallen victim to removing the magnets. Also, since the magnetic lashes need to adhere to a mascara-ed real lash, the magnets tend to get stuck in the lash it the mascara is too thick or sticky (anything volumizing or waterproof). I have to admit, I’ve put down the One Two Lash for a few weeks to allow my lashes time to heal and grow back.

These lashes are a great idea. I’m sure One Two will continue to make improvements and provide more lash options. I recommend trying this product for yourself, but have realistic expectations.

Good lashes!

Double shipping

By Susan, Cheltenham, Victoria, Australia, Verified Reviewer

Hi. I love my new lashes, and I seem to be getting better at putting them on. When I ordered my lashes late last year, I was offered a second set at a reduced price, which of course I jumped at. But I was disappointed that I was charged postage twice as my lashes were shipped in two parcels. I will say the communication tracking the arrival of my lashes was excellent, and their staff was very helpful.

Just wondering, do they sell the bottom lashes for the full lash separately, since I seemed to have made my lash a bit crooked.

Regards.

Too good to be true

By Alyssa Allen, Gilbert, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I absolutely love my new lashes! They make me feel stunning for any occasion! It definitely takes some getting used to (the process of putting them on, the weight of them on the eyes, ect.), but once I did, I was obsessed.

The only problem is that the full upper-right lashes are becoming flimsy as compared to the other side. I have only worn them about ten times and have followed instructions with the use of the One Two Wash/Cleanser after each wear.

I am still really rooting for this unique product and hope that this was a bad set or something. Not to mention that I love what the company is doing in order to make a bigger change in society!

The point is that I love the idea and can’t wait to wear them again (if/when I find a way to fix the messed up side or buy a new set).

Jury still out but I like them

By Jessica Stanley, Denver, CO, Verified Reviewer

I really like these lashes. They are very pretty, and I love the no glue option. But, I do find them to be overpriced and wish a few things were better.

I have bought eight pairs now I think, (types are Enhanced, Original full, Original half, Bold half and Accent,) partially because of a really good half lash sale. Many have mentioned that they wish they curved (or maybe the half lash needs another magnet also.) I do also, as my lashes aren't long or full. It's hard to blend them.

The Enhanced lost lashes quickly, they were replaced free of charge, but replacement set doesn't look the same or as pretty. The Bold half lash, I am not sure if I can even wear it because it's super thick and dark black. It looks ridiculous with minimal makeup. And even if I wear more, they may be too much to blend with my lashes (even with a primer and mascara).

Original full, I LOVE, but not for every day. I am wearing the original half or accents daily and just wish they blended better so I didn't have to wear mascara with them (I want that lash extension look where it's all you need, but I must have a liner and a few good coats of mascara with these).

I am a huge lash product fan. You name it, I have tried it. I will probably continue to wear these. But, there is room for improvement for the price especially. The lash applicator is useless. The bottom lashes wear out quickly even now that I am getting pretty good at putting them on. People say they can last for months. I don't see it, not with daily use! I think I will try another lash serum to lengthen mine more so that they blend better. But, it's more than I wanted to do. I wanted these to be a one-step easy way to shorten and minimize makeup. But, not the case for me. I basically just added another step, LOL.

But I do like the way they look better than my natural (with mascara) lash. One last note, the case is beautiful. It would be more functional with a mirror.

They are too narrow and don't cover the full eyelash width

By Leo H., Queensland, Australia, Verified Reviewer

Eyelashes fall off with no mascara

By Pauline L., Temple City, CA, Verified Reviewer

The first time I wore the Founders Lash I didn't have any mascara on and the lashes on my left eye fell off, and I didn't even know. My sister-in-law had to tell me.

I found that if I wear mascara, they stay on. I really wanted to avoid wearing mascara sometimes and just put the lashes on.

I was going to return them, but I was missing half a set of lashes so I didn't think I could so I kept them.

I do wear the other set with mascara, and I do like them.

Good start

By Courtney D., Titusville, NJ, Verified Reviewer

Hi One Two Cosmetics! I ordered four sets of original lashes for my mother (79 years old), me (54 years old), as well as my 24 and 22-year-old daughters. We are having mixed experiences.

Challenges include dexterity for my Mom in getting them on. The length is a little on the dramatic side for Mom, so I think we will attempt to "trim" a little so she can achieve a more natural look.

For me, my lower lash magnet fell off the first time I removed my left lash. Sigh. I used super glue and a toothpick to reattach, but it’s "not quite right."

My 22-year-old somehow managed to lose her right lower lash the very first time she was attempting to put them on. Three of us searched the area, her clothes, etc. for almost 1/2 hour to no avail. She was in tears when she found out how much I had spent.

That said, my 24-year-old loves them! This gives me hope!

So the jury is out for me right now. It was a substantial investment for not a great overall result thus far.

Careful

By Eileen P., New Mexico, Verified Reviewer

I just wanted to share. Be cautious when wearing these lashes when opening a hot oven. I felt the magnet get hot on my eyelid almost immediately. When I took off the lashes prior to going to bed, I realized the tip of lashes had folded down from the heat as well.

Not putting down the lashes, but I’m a mom who cooks and expects this to happen.

Love the look

By Sequieta Whitfield, Verified Reviewer

These lashes are a dream come true. It took a couple of tries but once I got the hang of it putting them on was easy, and they looked natural. The only drawback for me is my own lashes are so sparse the One Two Lashes were too heavy on my eyelids and uncomfortable. But I wore them anyway! I have the same issue with extensions. Like the other reviews, I wished I had ordered the Bold set for a fuller look. If I can get used to the fit, I will order the Bold set.

First-timer

By Lori, Bethlehem, PA, Verified Reviewer

I did my homework and purchased original lashes. I am a Nova Lash devotee for the past three years.

I watched tutorials and did spend the time to practice. I can apply to my left eye now in 15 seconds, but interestingly, I have issues with the right. I seem to have a (which only I can see/feel) demarcation line and I am struggling to find the right place to place the lashes to eliminate.

I was planning to contact lash consultant this weekend.

Overall, if I can get my right eye issues, I will be "breaking up" with Nova Lash for this amazing product!

Love them. It's a genius concept.

By Lisa Toucher, Sacramento, CA, Verified Reviewer

I love the lashes. I LOVE the concept. I've already lost one pair, though. I've thought about this, and I think it's because they aren't wide enough; they need to cover more of the eyelid, and they need to be slightly curved. They're awesome, don't get me wrong, but because they are very straight and don't seem to curve with use (I've been wearing them all day at work for a couple of weeks), the potential for bumping them off of your lashes if you touch your face is greater because it creates a sort of corner on the end. I'm sure this is why I found I lost a pair, which is a bummer because they're somewhat expensive.

Also, since you have asked (LOL), I'd love to see them more full. I don't need long length as much as fullness. I have the regular and the bold, love them both, but I think they could be even better!

The magnetic idea is GENIUS!

Be patient, these are great!

By Deena Pease, Utah, Verified Reviewer

I was skeptical at first, but just had to try them. I have tried other products like topical lengtheners, false glue on lashes, and all kinds of mascara and could never get the look of longer lashes that I wanted. I ordered one set of Bold, and one normal set.

I started with the regular set and let me tell you, it was frustrating at first. I would get the top lash set, but when I would bring the bottom lash up to my eye, the force of the magnet would cause the top lash to literally jump off of my eyelid! I finally decided to try putting on the bottom lash first, closing my eye, then applying the top lash. It worked! It took me about 10 minutes per night over two nights to get the hang of it, but eventually, I could put them on in under a minute.

I wore them to work for the next three days, and they were secure all day and did not bother me at all, although it took me awhile to get used to seeing my eyelashes. I checked on them a few times the first day, but after that, I was pretty confident they weren't going anywhere!

My only gripes:

1. The lash only covers half of your lid. I wish they covered my entire lash line.

2. They are not curved at all. I don't know about you, but my eyelids are curved! This makes it more difficult to put on and get them lined up right.

3. The bold lashes look...weird. They look pretty in the box, but when I put them on they look like a bushy, droopy mustache! And with the Bold, it's even more noticeable that they only cover half of your lid. You will never get the rest of your lashes to look consistent with these. I won't be using the Bold ones ever!

A nice alternative for eyelash extensions

By Elizabeth Shears, New Jersey, Verified Reviewer

I've been doing eyelash extensions for eight years now and finally had the realization that if a place did extensions that were good and lasted was costing a small fortune or if the price was less the extensions didn't last past one day and started falling out. The magnetic lashes caught my attention because there is no glue (I fail miserably at glue), it was a great price, and they were reusable.

I had to practice a few times to figure it out, but they work. The only thing that would make them better is if they covered more of the eye than just the outer part. A wider strip would allow for more impact. Also, you need mascara to get the lash to stick a bit and not fall off while putting the bottom half on otherwise the lashes are too smooth and the top one falls right off. To get the bottom one on I have to open my eyes really wide and come in from the bottom because if I don't the lashes snap together further from the base of the eyelash.

The lashes work pretty well

By Sharon Maffei, Prescott, AZ, Verified Reviewer

Once you get the hang of putting them on, which takes a bit, they are great! The problem is you may mangle 1 or 2 in the process. If a person doesn't have very long inner eyelashes, they make look fake because they only cover the mid to outer lash area.

Overall, once I get them on, I really like them. I wish they came in a dark brown color because I'm very fair.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
