Leaking pills - bad customer service

By Eric Samson, Connecticut, Verified Reviewer

Really crappy customer service on pills that are leaking and they know there is a problem but I must send the stuff I've already thrown out for a credit or refund, and they know I threw it out. No credit no refund, only putting the onus on the consumer. Over a quarter of their product leaked out of the capsules onto my other meds and/or in the bottom of the bottles. And all they do this put you off and hope you'll just cool down and leave it. Well I'm leaving it alright!

Canadians be aware. DHL shipping to CDN addresses. Avoid DHL

By Jara-Lynn Ramdon, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Sorry to say, I don" know if the Potassium Plus Iodine is worth it. I only received it today (July 25) after ordering on July 2!

And, It was NOT DELIVERED to my door. I got a card on the 25th of July to pick it up at the Post Office!

This is not sitting well with me after numerous days of calling trying to locate the parcel.

I am pointing out their shipping service to Canada is the worst! They Use DHL. I have had problems with DHL many times before this.

If you want a product with 3 different tracking numbers adding to confusion go ahead and order. Expect to receive the product a month later and that is only after complaining to various locations that your parcel has not arrived.

Starts out with a DHL tracking number but that number falls off their system once your product hits the Canadian border.

Good luck. It's almost like finding a needle in haystack.

Magnesium Chloride 520mg - don't waste your money.

By Joe Shenstone, Naples, FL, Verified Reviewer

This product has been stored in sealed factory container, with dryer pack inside, expiry 03/2018. The product is disintegrating inside the container and is unusable. I called customer service, who said I need to contact the seller. Nonsense!

Sucralose in some supplements

By John, OR, Verified Reviewer

I am a relatively new Piping Rock customer. However, in a recent order I received, I noticed a very sweet taste to the melatonin I ordered. I looked on the label and noticed that they put Sucralose in it. I have no idea why they would put Sucralose in their products, definitely not a health product but a chemical. I contacted them saying I wanted a melatonin without Sucralose in it. They said they did not have any and they offered no solution, including a refund. As most people who buy health products know, Sucralose is not a health product but an anti-health product. So, I ask, do they have an agenda by putting this negative health product in their supplements?

The jury is still out on this one…

By Elizabeth Michael, Moffat, CO, Verified Reviewer

So I registered, placed my order, remembered to add 1 more item, hoping it wasn't too late on 10/4. Then I get an OOPs email saying it didn't go through on 10/5, AND I get a confirmation that they added on my item.

Then I get another text saying it didn't go through. I call them and they say they have no record of the order, they don't send out messages like that and they don't add on to orders already placed, also do I have the right company?

So their customer service department will make you out to be a complete idiot. Their prices can't be beaten, I want to know are they for real?

Save Your Money

By Judy Beaver, Sarasota, FL, Verified Reviewer

I ordered 5 bottles of Magnesium Chloride 520mg so called tablets. When you open the bottles you find a big pile of white powder along with broken tablets. They are so soft they actually break in your hand before you can get them in your mouth. Save your money folks. These are the worse tablets I have ever put in my mouth.

Bait and switch

By Attila, WA, Verified Reviewer

You order a product (that incidentally has many versions of) that has a very good price on it, but you get sent something that is much cheaper on the market. I will be specific - Acetyl L-Carnitine and L-Carnitine. The first is much cheaper, and that's what you get sent when you order the more expensive version L-Carnitine. Sounds like an effective way to be able to advertise very low prices, by using old fashioned low life bait and switch techniques. Now to get what you need, you have to pay to send it back, and then go find it where you will get sent what you order. For the record, my order sheet says I ordered the ALC, but has a different price than what they have on their records, and it's labeled as a substitute.

Competitor products are better

By David, Little Rock, AR, Verified Reviewer

With many vitamins and minerals, you won't know for years whether or not they are working. With Niacin, I know in minutes. I get much less effect from 1000mg of this B3 than from a 100 mg of a competitor's product. Based upon the effects of this product, I have serious questions as to the purity of the Piping Rock products and will probably return everything I ordered.

Cart price changes

By Ron B, Holden, Maine, Verified Reviewer

I put items in my cart at a set price, but before I could place the order the prices in the cart changed to higher prices on each item. Their customer service had no idea and refused to help or honor the lower prices. Many emails later, I received no satisfaction. They don't care about their good customers.

Supplements are valuable medicines = expiration dates are very important!

By Dandelion Root Capsule Purchaser, Wisconsin, Verified Reviewer

My experience with Piping Rock was disconcerting. Supplements are valued medicines to many people (Dandelion Root is a diuretic, which is an important medicine to aid in the reduction of excess water in the body). Quality and reliability of medicines and supplements is extremely important.

Piping Rock shipped me one of the two bottles (as a set) of Dandelion Root Capsules, with the expiration label selectively TORN OFF. This is NOT acceptable. Use your imagination as to why any Medicinal Supplement Company would remove an expiration date. Did they think I wouldn't notice or wouldn't care? WRONG!

When I contacted Piping Rock to complain, they wanted to refund me less than 50% of what I paid. "Unscrupulous'" is the best word to describe them, dragging their feet in every step of the refund process, not to mention Piping Rock won't post honest reviews on their website, which are less than positive. That's very deceptive.

After learning there's been litigation regarding no less than 49 Piping Rock products containing LEAD, I do not feel safe consuming Dandelion Root capsules, nor any other supplement from Piping Rock. Beware of "Good-Great Hurry Buy-Now Special Deals" at Piping Rock. Like Gramma always said: "If it seems too good to be true, it is!"

Extremely unsatisfied

By Fosca Newton, Sydney , Verified Reviewer

After having placed an order with Piping Rock, I waited for weeks without knowing what happened to my order, because I have never received the goods I have ordered, nor did I receive any support from the customer service. I wrote to them, and they replied to me that once the parcel with the goods has left the warehouse, it is out of their hands!
