I can't believe I wasted that much money

By Michelle Palmer, Winston Salem, NC, Verified Reviewer

I purchased a long-sleeved shirt, short sleeved shirt, a skirt, and a pair of shorts for my teen. All were from individual sellers.

The short sleeved t-shirt was fine. No issues. The skirt AND the shorts were at least two sizes too small.

1. The M O L A M O L A S T O R E space cotton trendy skirt pink/black, size Medium, pink, $19.20, was more of a size X-Small polyester. My kid is giving it away.

Subtotal: $24.00

Shipping: $13.00

Storenvy Fee: $0.49

Tax: $0.00

2. MOOOH!! Daisy Denim Shorts, Medium, $29.99

Subtotal: $29.99

Shipping: $0.00

Storenvy Fee: $0.49

Tax: $0.00

3. The FASHION STORE New Fall Winter 2013/14 Harajuku 3D Personalized Celebrity Photos long sleeve t-shirt, Medium, $19.00, would have been great for $4.99 at Walmart.

Subtotal: $19.00

Shipping: $9.00

Storenvy Fee: $0.49

Tax: $0.00

All were a complete waste of money. And unless you're prepared to pay return postage to China, then Goodwill will gladly accept them.

I am using it as a seller, along side an etsy shop

By Steve C. , Charlotte, NC

First off, I want to say that I found this site while searching for reliability of Storenvy to retailers. While the reviews are of concern, I am not sure how there could really be scam stores as described above (because PayPal handles billing and they are reputable).

I have a shop for USA made Christmas cards on both Storenvy and Etsy. I chose to have stores on both sites for several reasons:

  1. Etsy is fairly well known and came highly recommended but Storenvy is their clear competition.
  2. Etsy charges me a listing fee plus a selling fee for every sold item. Storenvy does not charge fees.
  3. Etsy has many stores so I am crowded where Storenvy has fewer stores so it is easier to stand out (without paying for Etsy's internal advertising which doesn't get me ads on Google.
  4. I planned to test and compare, then eventually go with only one store.

I've had the two shops open for a few weeks now but there are many reasons to like Storenvy better...but the above reviews and the two outages. On black Friday the site was down due to high traffic, and the following Friday it was down for maintenance at 5 pm. For this reason I am considering moving all my efforts to Etsy but I will likely still keep my Storenvy shop open. They have a lot of potential but they have a long way to go. I'd keep them, but they aren't ready to be the go-to ecommerce mall.

Disgusting

By TK, Verified Reviewer

I've never been angry enough to write a review. I see the scams above, and maybe I should be happy that my order didn't go through.

There was an item that I was trying to buy, but it would not process. I emailed tech support, and they told me they tried it on their end and said that it was an "isolated" problem on my side. So then they had me try it on multiple different computers on multiple different browsers.

When I complained that it's still not working, then they said that now they've actually tried it (so last time I guess it was a lie) and it turns out there's something wrong with the store's payment process. They said they would fix it, and one week later the item disappears. Absolutely disgusting, horrid, and incompetent.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Do not buy!

By Sayquana Wright, Florida, Verified Reviewer

Do not be fooled. They will send you a table cloth not even CLOSE to pictured dress. Then, with proper procedures for a refund through PayPal, it's more than $100 to send back to China, so you're out most of your money.

Great products

By Ginger ,

The selection of products are nice. Just have to be careful when buying just like with eBay. If you do not get any contact back from the shop after 3 weeks, I would get a refund through PayPal.

I have bought squishies with SuperCuteShop.com and they arrived perfect condition and were quickly shipped. I also received a confirmation on the tracking number with an email from the store.

Still waiting

By Jamie Lohmann, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, Verified Reviewer

I should have read these reviews before ordering. I ordered a swimsuit in the first week of November and it has now been 4 weeks. I’ve tried to contact someone via email but have not yet heard anything. The products actually looked cool but I will never use them again, and neither will my friends.

Storenvy for independent merchants

By Jessica , San Francisco, CA

Storenvy is a great platform for independent merchants. It works like eBay, where each seller handles their own products and ships their own items. If you're having trouble with an order, you can reach out to the seller directly. If you have not been able to reach the seller, you can contact Storenvy support at support@storenvy.com and they will help you get in touch with the seller.

All payments are processed through PayPal and covered by PayPal's 45 day guarantee, meaning if you don't receive your item as long as you file a dispute within 45 days you will receive a refund.

I've made 13 orders from Storenvy sellers in the last year, and only had an issue with 1, where the store owner issued me a refund.

Scam!

By Liz, Verified Reviewer

Ordered a product from this company, they gladly took my money and never sent my package. I have been contacting them for months trying to figure it out but no one ever responds. I would suggest to never purchase from this site again.

SANA SWIM sucks!

By Abby, New South Wales, Australia, Verified Reviewer

I ordered swimmers from these people ages ago, and they were NEVER DELIVERED. I have sent multiple emails, Instagram messages, comments on their website and even contacted Storeenvy separately, and have received NO REPLY. I have not received my purchase or a refund. The biggest rip off ever. Do NOT buy from SANA SWIM, they suck!

A better understanding

By LarryLobster ,

Reading these reviews i must say that although i understand and agree people have had a bad experience it isn't really Storenvy's fault. The business is merely a hub for stores. Ultimately the burden lies upon the store owner for all fault. Having said that Storenvy should be taking steps to ensure that bad merchants are shut down. This is where places like Ebay are better because of their internal structure to do this adequately. Its not to say there are no scams from eBay either but they don't last long + because they own Paypal, there is better resolution available.

I am currently in the middle of setting up a store myself. To make a review on Storenvy specifically (not any individual seller), I would say its average.

The positives are its free and has a nice look to your store even at default. You have a general level of customization that anyone can do and it's user friendly.

The negatives, shipping is a PITA! There is very minimal play with how you structure shipping rates which will be a deterrent to many buyers. Also the structure limitations on how you can display your stock, a few extra basic feature are required. There are also a few bugs that need to be worked out, for example, transparency of images doesn't work in certain areas although it says it will.

Overall its a case of "you get what you pay for" which is nothing!

Personally I can't justify spending much if anything on other sites of the like. Plus others charge on a per sale basis just like ebay, where it cuts into your profit considerably. Clients expect free shipping now days and with selling low cost merchandise and being a small store without a ton of stock, make it even harder, at least its free to give it a try.

Five good reasons why Storenvy sucks.

By Why you should not shop at Storenvy ,

Why you should not shop at Storenvy:

  1. Storenvy took 5 days to get back to me when there was a problem.
  2. Does not regulate their members or products for quality control.
  3. Made no effort to fix the problem and made absurd lazy excises for the problem
  4. Has no phone support or accountability
  5. Has no working digital download system for digital goods

Those are the five good reasons why I think Storenvy sucks. So don't shop there.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
