This company sucks

By Stacey Berthiaume, Mandan, ND, Verified Reviewer

After waiting 6 months for my whole order and being charged two times out of my account, I will never order from this place ever again! The products are not what they say, and customer service is even worse.

Pan surface disintegrating

By Robert Kujawski, New York, Verified Reviewer

I purchased a 10" square pan from BJ's, a month and a half ago.

I noticed yesterday, a bare metal in pan's bottom. I have been cooking for many years, so I am aware of the care needed to be taken using non-stick pans.

BJ's refuses to exchange the pan or offer a refund. What are the remedies offered by Gotham Steel? The sticker attached to pan states lifetime replacement of defective pans. But your website says 90 days. What am I supposed to believe? Other then there is a scam being offered.

Let me know!

Not impressed

By Belinda Loucks, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Verified Reviewer

These pans worked well for a few months, however, quickly lost the nonstick that they promoted.

I cooked dumplings in these pans and they totally stuck and fell apart.

I won’t buy them again. I'd rather buy a good nonstick pan that lasts.

My pan scratched using a fork to stir

By Kathy Johnson, Georgia, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the square pan from Walmart, and on the use, the pan scratched. I read the cover on the pan (after using it), and it suggests not using metal utensils on the pan. Totally different from the commercial. Not impressed at all.

Highly dissatisfied

By Amanda, Reseda, CA, Verified Reviewer

After seeing the ad on TV, I insisted that my husband buy me the pan (which included one fee one), as the idea of not needing to use oil or cooking spray was exciting.

The pans arrived, and finally, I was able to make my daily omelet. The eggs stuck to the pan and the handle (not being plastic) was uncomfortable. The omelet did not taste as good as it was “scraped off.” The second and third attempt, the same. Also, the food gets stuck in the crevice of the handle’s screws. A HORRIBLE purchase with a return policy that charges you shipping and handling.

Do NOT buy this product! It is awful.

Pans warp

By Sheri Stelkia, Oliver, British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I received two Gotham Steel Pans as gifts, and after a few uses, they both warped so don't sit flat on the stove. We do not use high heat with our pans as we own Saladmaster pans and they require a lower heat setting. The smaller one I still use, but the larger one is useless. The non-stick surfaces are great, but they both are unable to heat evenly. The smaller one is over a year old, and the surface is holding up well and is functional despite its warp. The larger one is only nine months old and hasn't been used much.

Gotham does not live up to its claims!

By Albert John Saxby, Haliburton, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I bought a small Gotham Steel pan from my local Canadian Tire Store, and for the first couple of weeks it worked fine as promised, food just slipped right out. Within a month though, everything began to stick, even if oil or butter was used. I am very disappointed in this product, which is too bad because if it still worked as well as it originally did, I would be raving about it.

Do not recommend this

By Marilyn Long, Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

My husband and I saw and loved the Gotham pots and pans set and two of our kids bought us a set for Christmas. The Red set, and we loved it. We didn't get to use it much at first as we were away for two weeks and then ill (flu) for another week or so. My husband made soup one day, and when he washed out the pot, it dropped into the sink, and when he picked it up and rinsed the soapy water out of it, there was a chip in it.

After investigating the return policy at the local Showcase, we found it was past the 60 days. The kids had bought it in November and this happened the beginning of February, and the girl who works there said the warranty was expired. My question now is can I use the pot or not, believe it or not, the chip is on the "inside" of the pot! The girl at the store didn't know either.

Poor product

By Mrs Wayne Bliesmann, Iowa, Verified Reviewer

While using my pan last night, I hear a BANG and something flew off. I found out it was one of the covers and I found it 20+ feet away from the stove. This product isn't safe, and as far as being stick-free, that is a bunch of hogwash. What is the company going to do about this problem?

Lid burst into a million pieces

By Kevin Hayes, Michigan, Verified Reviewer

I agree with everyone that the cookware works great for the first few uses, but then develops spots that stick and cannot be cleaned no matter how hard you try. But what I did not expect was, the other night while I was simmering a pot of soup on my gas top range, the lid made a popping sound when I went to check on it, it had burst into a million pieces for no apparent reason.

I tried calling customer service, and she told me there would be a $10 fee to replace the lid plus shipping and handling. When I complained, she said "let me give you the corporate office, I apologize," and said that I had to call the corporate office. I called the corporate office and continued to tell them my story, and they instantly disconnected me and sent me to an automated line that said the number for customer service is 888 326-0978. Yeah you guessed it, the same number I called initially.

Disappointing

By Gertrudis Rivera, New Jersey, Verified Reviewer

I bought the 12" pan a while ago but had not used it. I have used it a total of not more than FIVE times. The food got stuck to it, and it is not easy to clean as was claimed. Here is the kicker folks...the paint is CHIPPING! That's right; the PAINT IS CHIPPING! And to think I was going to buy a set for my mother. I had to give it one star to be able to write the review.
