Cheap product, not as depicted

By Shawn O., Rhode Island, Verified Reviewer

I purchased a carry-on bag. It looked good in the picture, but it is really nothing more than a plastic bag. Very disappointing for $30. I would never purchase from them again. Caveat emptor, buyer beware.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Do not buy from Wish.com

By Angela M., North Carolina, Verified Reviewer

I ordered several jewelry pieces received all but two items. It is very unfortunate that I cannot get a refund for the two items that never arrived. I think it is bad business practices to not refund a customer for something that they never received. What a good way to make money by scamming customers. I am not pleased, and I will never order from Wish again.

Utter crap

By Michelle B., Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I ordered numerous items from wish.com. The ones that have actually arrived have been terrible – cheap junk that is not accurate to the pictures posted. The items that haven't arrived are numerous. One of them is marked as “delivered” even though I didnt get them and I have been told by Wish, “Sorry, if it's marked as delivered, you're out of luck” basically. Stay away from this site.

Customer Service

By Ted S., Iowa, Verified Reviewer

I have placed 3 orders so far with this company. I have had nothing but 2 failed attempts to receive my items I ordered. The first time was for a mannequin that I ordered which the store owner changed their advertisement and sent me out something totally different from what I originally ordered. Now I gave them my business a second time, waited 3 weeks and I was told my packages were misrouted and possibly lost. I was given a refund but that doesn't make me any less happy.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Wish operates like a scam...

By Greg T., Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I signed up to try Wish out as I was interested in an item that appeared in a Facebook ad. Upon signing up, I was given an opportunity to purchase a 'free' item for signing up (just pay shipping). So, being a bit of a skeptic, I ordered a simple item that was to have $2 shipping. Once finishing the selection and order process I was billed $4. Not exactly what they advertised.

After asking why this happened, I was given the run around until right after the item was posted as shipped (I'm sure they avoid giving the money back that way) and then told I must have logged out or not ordered during the free time frame. Get this...the item is STILL on their site and listed as being free. NO WAY will I order anything more after this. Horrible customer service dealing with the issue and taken for extra money. Imagine if it was a larger and more expensive order.

Only rating Wish a one star as I have to give something so that I can submit.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Hold on to your wallet

By Riqqui G., Seattle, WA, Verified Reviewer

The advice about fast, cheap or good - select two is good advice. Products are shoddy. XXL in clothing is a 34 waist. Many other things you may buy are really miniatures. Descriptions are inaccurate and misleading. Prices are so cheap, they figure you won't bother to complain. That heavy duty wool coat - paper thin and rayon. You will see a set of three for sale, but hidden away is you only get one. It may be listed as Silverware Set with 18 pieces, but that price is only for one fork. You have to order each one individually with separate shipping. I've never seen the quality of metal in this country. Belts have buckles the thickness of a ten cent sheriff's badge. Have you ever bent a belt buckle in one hand?

There are some things here worthwhile. But you will have to look for it. Searching by word is nearly impossible as descriptions are written by non-native English speakers.

Read the reviews. Every one is five stars and says it "looks" good. Who evaluates a product without using it?

Do you have a question about a product? (You will, many times, there's only a name and a photo). You have to buy it before you can ask the question. I'm serious about this. There are no item numbers, so the only way you can contact the seller is after you have paid for it. If you see something you like, save the URL, there's no way to get back to an item.

They do have online help. I hesitate to call it "help." The people do not speak English. The website can be difficult to navigate at times.

You will get all sorts of email after each purchase. They want you to tell them the date it was received.

I purchased one item. They wanted reams of information. They wanted photos of the item, and multiple photos of the shipping label. Their system only allows you to send one photo, period. You may be lucky enough for them to agree to give you a credit. You have to ship it back using their mailing label and their shipper, pay for that and wait. The shipping label comes in a proprietary format that can't be read or printed. If you ask them how, they just send it again and then tell you you've missed the deadline.

The real kicker was when I contacted them for an item not received. They said I had to take a picture of the mailing label, of an item I'd not received. After about six emails back and forth, they told me it was too late for a refund.

There are some good bargains to be had, but be very careful.

But I do have some basic questions. You may receive a package that would cost you $5-8 to ship inside the US. Many of the items you buy are $4-10. Some items are free, just pay postage of a dollar or two. How can all these companies afford to get $1 or $3 and then pay $8 for shipping plus the cost of shipping from China?

Something makes me think that the entire operation is being funded by China. Perhaps they want US Dollars so badly they don't mind spending a lot to get them. Or maybe it's something to do with the balance of trade. I'm not into conspiracy theories, but no one runs a business where almost every sale is at a loss.

It's like gambling. When I gamble, I go and expect to spend $X for the entertainment. If you expect to be entertained by ordering an item from China to see how easily you can be misled, do it. So far, I've not had a problem with credit card theft.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I only received one of four items from Wish.

By Lawrence H., California, Verified Reviewer

Wish is the worst place I have EVER shopped. I ordered four items. Of those four items, I only received one, and it was a very poor quality. When I contacted Wish about the items that I did not receive, they told me to wait, FOR EVER. I never got any resolution for this. I have since moved on with my life, a little poorer. However, I wanted to warn everyone - if you shop on Wish, you will "wish" you hadn't. I still wish that I had avoided Wish. If you think that you'll get a good deal at Wish, keep "wishing." I will never recommend Wish to a friend. In fact, I wouldn't even recommend it to an enemy.

Worst app

By Sanjana A., Pimple Sudagar, India, Verified Reviewer

I have ordered six products and only one I received yet. All the others products I haven't received. It has been more than a month now. Nor did I get the refund. Let's see how it works talking about getting a refund. I have requested them to refund the amount. Pathetic service ever. Never trust Wish. No doubt products are at a low price, but the quality is worst. Please refund the money at least.

Ordered products, sent products back, boxes unopened. Never received refund.

By Lela E., Rock Spring, GA, Verified Reviewer

I order about $200.00 in products from Wish. I sent the items back, boxes unopened. I took pictures of the boxes. I also have the receipts from the Post Office where they were shipped back. Wish received the items, but I NEVER RECEIVED the refunds! Wish took all my order history out of the computer, like I never ordered anything from them. They are scam artists! If you want to get taken to the cleaners, just order from them. They are not REPUTABLE. I have tried to contact them by sending emails, but no luck. Do NOT order from Wish! They need to be put out of business.

Nice wedding supplies

By Martha D., Elk Grove, CA, Verified Reviewer

I have bought prizes and wedding decor from Wish. I have found that Wish offers very low prices on items that you might not have purchased at a higher price, but because the price is right, you buy items that add a special touch. It is good to throw a party without overspending. The brooches can be used to sparkle up homemade wedding bouquets or wedding table decor. Wish has reasonable silk flowers and bouquets. I bought brooches and gave them away to my coworkers for Mother's Day. My coworkers appreciated the bling and these little gifts were thoughtful, pretty and affordable. There are many cheap items to buy and craft with. This is a good site for crafters.
