Quality of pans

By Sonet S., Alberta, Canada, Verified Reviewer

In our family, we had three pans in three different households. Each had the exact same experience with Gotham pans. They last 90 days before becoming just another failed "non-stick" pan.

No wonder the guarantee is for 90 days!

I am very disappointed in this product and company.

Fabulous results - but you have to follow instructions!

By Kathleen H., California, Verified Reviewer

I bought the 9-inch skillet on a whim and liked it so much, just bought the entire cooking set! A lot of people giving the pan a negative review probably didn't follow instructions. Never use non-stick cooking spray. Why would you want to anyway, it's a non-stick pan? The directions say never use cooking spray or you will ruin the finish. I've used butter, olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, avocado oil or nothing, and gotten fabulous results each time. I make omelets and never have to worry about cheese sticking. I fry up sausages using just a little bit of water, and the pan wipes perfectly clean each time. I'm hoping to use my new non-stick pot for making homemade macaroni and cheese, and candy. You can melt anything on this surface, and it does not stick, but again do not use non-stick cooking spray. It binds to the surface and ruins it. I've also heard never put these pans in the dishwasher and do not heat above 450 degrees and you should be fine!

Junk

By Patricia N., Florida, Verified Reviewer

Works good for about two weeks. I then try frying a very lean piece of hamburger meat in the pan. It sticks to the pan and does not clean up. Cheese also sticks. It does not clean up at all. I am sorry I bought these fry pans. These pans are just a piece of junk.

False advertising at its best.

By Richard L., Seattle, WA, Verified Reviewer

I have two of these pans, and stuff, eggs, you name it, stick to the pans, Teflon pans I have are far better. I am thinking about sending pictures to our state attorney generals office and have them sue them into bankruptcy.

Garbage

By Dom N., Buffalo, NY, Verified Reviewer

A total waste of money. Buy the cheapest Teflon on Amazon, and you’ll be much happier. Don't waste your money!

Horrible

By Gwen B., Wittmann, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I don't want to give one star, but it is required to post this review. It is not worth one star!

This pan should be pulled from the market as it is FALSE advertisement! You waste money in this pan. It does nothing it says it will do! Food sticks during the first use. It does not wipe clean. Horrible JOKE being played on hard working people! Don't buy this product!

Garbage

By Jeff B., South Bend, IN, Verified Reviewer

What a joke! Not much I can say that hasn't already been said. Everything sticks, hard to clean. Where the handle is fastened to the pan, it has a black residue that leaks and won't scrub clean. It feels nice and smooth, but don't let that fool you. I'm really sorry I bought two of them.

Avoid buying

By David D., Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I used the pan twice and then found the bottom appears to have curved. The result is part of the pan gets hot while the remainder much cooler. I put eggs in the pan, and they all flow onto one half the pan. I contacted the store where I bought it and was told to read the warranty. You have to ship it back to the US and hope for the best. My best advice, do not purchase!

Garbage

By Bruce J., Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I have had the square 9" pan for about three months. It worked well at first and we really just used it for frying eggs. It is now useless, and it went from good to useless quickly. It is ok one day and crap the next. Pictures available.

Don't buy this pan!

By Benjamin O., Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I usually buy T-Fal pans, but the Gotham frying pan was on sale at Home Hardware. What a dud. It was nonstick for a while then food stuck to a particular area. It progressed to the whole pan sticking all the time. Looked for an elusive guarantee without avail. Stay away if you have any sense at all.

Worst pan I ever purchased

By Ken S., Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I cooked four burgers and the center of the pan burned the first time using it. The patties stuck, worst purchase ever. My Canadian Tire special is 10 times the pan. I cooked on seven setting on the stove and they just stuck and burned; they were even frozen patties, not even good soft homemade burgers. Thank God or it would have ruined them.
