Greedy liars

By Dimche F., Galveston, TX, Verified Reviewer

The biggest scam of a gym, worst customer service, everything you gonna hear from them is just lies. Read the contract before you sign anything. They told me that I can transfer the rest of the contract to someone else if I find someone that is willing to take over, now, when I'm moving, and I have someone to take over the contract, they are saying that they have to resign for 24 months (I have 4 months left on my second contract). What kind of transfer requires a new 24-month contract? They are just super greedy, run away from them! Not worth it! We have been with them for over 3 years, and I will not recommend it to anyone!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Stay away - do not provide what they advertise

By Darcie V., Verified Reviewer

They call me to join the facility; we were told that there would be a location opening near us in the spring of 2017. That location never opened. We were also told that we could bring a guest for $7 a person. That fee has gone up to $10 a person without any notifications. The contract is extremely difficult and designed to confuse the average person who does not read every fine detail. Be very careful. The fees are extremely high for what they provide. Training sessions are the most expensive of all gyms in my area. Trainers are not available on weekends or in the late evenings.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Anytime Fitness: scam, false advertising

By Andrea R., Golden, CO, Verified Reviewer

I feel like I was conned into signing up for Anytime Fitness without correct information. The perk that made me want to sign up was that the Golden location has Zumba and Yoga classes. I "HAD" to sign up that day to get a really good deal to have a few months free. I even asked if it was easy to cancel the membership and the employee said to me "Oh, totally! You can even freeze your membership."

Soon after I signed up my location cancels the Zumba classes and I can't make the yoga classes due to my schedule at work. I tried and canceled my membership but was told I had to pay out the rest of the year of when my membership would have ended. When I brought up that I'd like to at least freeze my account I got laughed at and told that I can't freeze the account without a doctor's note.

I feel like this was false advertising and really left a bad taste in my mouth, and now I'm stuck with a gym that I'm not even excited about going. Do not sign up with Anytime Fitness before trying the intro first, but in my opinion, I don't think you should sign up at all.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
