Using Oil

By Bessie Lobato, Bridgeville, DE, Verified Reviewer

I bought one of the frying pans and came to find out, when reading the brochure, it is recommended not to use olive oil. So to make potatoes and eggs we used regular oil and were not happy with it. The eggs had an off taste. Don't think this pan will work for us because we exclusively use olive oil.

Ceramic 10" pan

By Michael Adams, Camarillo, CA, Verified Reviewer

To start off, I did season the pan by instructions. The only thing that I have cooked in it is breakfast. Fried eggs and a potato patty like you get at McDonald's. The pan seemed to stain right away. All over the inside and up top by the lip of pan seemed to stain. The potato doesn't seem to stick but the fried eggs on the edge seem to stick. I use a silicone spatula to scrape around the edge of the eggs to unstick it from the pan. Besides the stain, the pan works well.

I've fallen in love with this product!

By Felecia, Cary, NC, Verified Reviewer

I love to cook, and I love kitchen gadgets. When I purchased the Copper Chef pan and used it for the first time, I was hooked! It's truly a non-stick pan, and the high heat is great for cooking items in a shorter length of time.

It's perfect for cooking southern collards that are tender in one hour flat. Soup is a breeze in this pot, and the proportions are kept in check by the 9-inch deep sizing.

I love omelets for breakfast, and the 9-inch fry pan is perfect for those. I can cook eggs to order for everyone in the house effortlessly because of the non-stick surface. Lastly, it can do everything my slow-cookers can. I can cook the toughest meat fork-tender within 3 hours.

I own the 4-piece original set; the square fry pan; and have just purchased the 2-piece air fryer pan set. Can't wait to cook french fries and fried chicken in it.

After 3 weeks of purchasing

By Rick, Boston, MA, Verified Reviewer

I purchased this pan from their website and it arrived in 4 days! So, right off the bat, I was happy. So far I have made steak, eggs, Salisbury steaks, American chop suey, and steamed salmon.

EVERY meal I made was terrific! The deep sides also help greatly with splatter. Cleanup is a breeze. Of course, you're not going to tilt the pan and have everything completely slide off, but nothing sticks to it and all you have to do it give it a quick rinse and wipe. T

his is by far the best pan I have ever used and I am extremely glad I decided to buy it. Don't hesitate. Buy this pan and you will be very happy.

Exceeding my expectation

By Randy Frederick, Castle Rock, CO, Verified Reviewer

My wife bought me the 10" skillet and 11" deep pan because I was tired of our old nonstick pans not working. I was skeptical of a pan sold on TV so I tested it by frying an egg with no oil. I was amazed that it worked just like the commercial. I have now used the pans for over two months and they perform better than any pan I have ever used. They clean up very easily and I have yet to have a problem. I made steaks last night and they turned out just as advertised. I have seen some very negative reviews about these pans and I can't get my mind around what is going wrong with their efforts. I am the main cook in the house and have loved cooking for over 30 years. These pans have exceeded my expectation and I am ordering another set for Christmas.

NOT WHAT THEY SAY

By Kathleen Gilmore , Claysville, PA, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the pans online after watching several ads. They show them scratching it with a fork and using a mixer in them. One of the directions for use was not to use metal utensils. Also, it is to be nonstick. I made grilled cheese sandwiches and the runover cheese did not slide out. I had to soak the pan for a few minutes. For me, these pans did not perform the way they were advertised to.

I contacted Copper Chef and have yet to get a response.

Piece of crap

By Mike Craig, KY, Verified Reviewer

First pan I had to return after a week. Copper began to peel off the bottom. Second replacement was returned after a month. Copper peels and food would sticks to the bottom when cooking. Third pan I am using now looks like it is several years old, copper peeling off bottom and sides, food severely sticks to the bottom.

Was told I had to pay to return it for a replacement, but hell after 3 pans why waste my time. Take it from a disgruntled customer. Don't waste your money. It's crap.

Excellent pan

By Dolores, Brooklyn, Verified Reviewer

I have 3 of these pans. The square one I use for whole chickens, stews and many more dishes, oh my pork chops cooked to perfection and crispy too. These pans are very good. I would recommend you buy them, I actually love cooking more now that I have them.

Copper Chef requires low cooking temp, TLC

By Chuck Megibow, Nottingham, Maryland, Verified Reviewer

I bought the Copper Chef pan 3 months ago. I have used it to cook eggs, meats, pasta, and fry foods. I noticed that items tend to stick if high heat is used for cooking. I have an electric range, and simply setting the heat to at or below medium eliminates food from sticking. It may take a bit longer to cook, but foods will simply slide out. I made a cheese omelet and found that the egg began to stick to the pot when I cooked it on medium high heat. Another time I used a setting below medium heat and there was no sticking. I would recommend lower heat to avoid food cooking too fast and sticking. I have cleaned the pot by hand, an easy job, and it still looks new. This pot, in my experience, with a little TLC, and low cooking heat, should last a reasonable number of years. If I encounter problems, I will let you guys know.

Copper Chef 9 inch fry pan, food sticks.

By Caren A. Boecher, Abingdo, MD, Verified Reviewer

I purchased my Copper Chef 9 inch fry pan six months ago and there were no instructions addressing seasoning or doing anything in preparation for its use. The pan worked as advertised for two months, then it started sticking foods to it. I have been forced to put a little vegetable oil in the bottom in order to even use it. I am very disappointed.

Don't do it!

By Lourdes, Tacoma, WA, Verified Reviewer

My husband bought these Copper Chef Pans two months ago because he saw the infomercials and loved the way eggs slide off the pan with no butter or oil used! They are beautiful, but everything sticks to these pans and they are difficult, if not impossible to clean! In fact, I caught my husband using a scrub pad.

We have soaked them and tried in vain to make them look like new. I was just about to use oven cleaner on them but am disappointed you can only use the oven cleaner on the outside bottom, not the sides or inside. I would never buy these again or ever recommend them to anyone. Too bad, he thought these would be the only pans we would need for our newly remodeled Airstream.
