Do not order from this company!

By Liz Ruddock, Bedfordshire, England, Verified Reviewer

They have taken £44 ($60.76) from my account three times without my permission and are refusing to refund it. Apparently, when you sign up as a VIP member, you agree to this. This was not made clear and feel I have been misled. If anyone else feels this has happened to them, please leave reviews explaining what has happened, so others are not misled.

I was robbed by the Fabletics thieves

By Miguel Torres, San Francisco, CA, Verified Reviewer

Do not buy anything from these thieves. I bought a couple of things for my daughter and mysteriously after that charges appeared on my card. I called them, and they promised a refund. They said it could take up to 90 days, but there has been no refund, and now they are impossible to get a hold of. So they basically robbed me out of $150.

I would not buy anything from them. And the product is definitely NOT the level of quality they promised. If I could do ZERO stars, that would be the way to go. I would not think that someone like Kate Hudson would be involved in a scam like this. I would not recommend them to my enemies.

No good

By David Maycock, Utah, Verified Reviewer

My son wanted to order some leggings from this website. I allowed him to do so. I did not know that each month it would be a $50 charge to my credit card. Starting one week from the original purchase. Those $30 leggings now cost me $130.

Advocate for Fabletics

By Candace Pollock, Carlinville, IL, Verified Reviewer

I have placed numerous orders over the past year with Fabletics. I have only ever had one problem with that site, which was when I skipped a month, and it didn't go through. I simply messaged them on Facebook and explained to them what happened, and I received a refund back on my card within two weeks. Sure, that takes some time, but think about how they are still a developing company. All newer companies have kinks they need to work out.

Yeah, some things can be see-through when you bend over, but so are leggings from Victoria's Secret and other yoga pants from retail stores that everyone is boasting about. This article alone had false information about Fabletics that probably will upset people even more. If you're saying you were "scammed" into a VIP membership, you're not a very bright person as they don't hide anything when you sign up. Take a moment to actually read what is happening on a website before signing up.

Will have to close my bank account

By Kathleen Orton, Rhode Island, Verified Reviewer

I was tricked into signing up for the VIP account. A few months later they deducted $50 from my account with no warning. This is such a con job. I bet there are people who don't notice the withdrawals. The worst part is that when you try to contact them, you can only reach the Philippines and get a huge runaround. It's really hard to cancel. You have to request a confirmation number and an email confirming the cancellation. I'm still waiting for the email. I may have to close my checking account and open a new one.

Subscription trap

By Patricia McCall, Colorado, Verified Reviewer

Fabletics is a subscription trap. At first, I thought the “intro offer” was such a great deal. Got two outfits for $25 each. Then I needed to return one of the leggings ($12.50), and they charged me $7 to restock. Not worth it, so I decided to keep it.

Now, good luck remembering to “skip” the month in the short 5-day window. That is how they make their money: you forget to skip and cha-ching! $50 goes out the window. That is exactly what happened to me and I thought, "no worries, their stuff is cute, I will find good use for my $50."

Then I went shopping and quickly found out that I was not allowed to use my “credit” on sale items! Fabletics, what the heck? You have my $50 and now you want to tell me how to spend it? So be aware folks, you are not free to spend you member credit as you wish. You will most likely end up using it for one overpriced outfit that you wouldn’t buy otherwise.

I was beyond annoyed. I tried to cancel my membership over live chat and was advised that if I canceled my membership before spending my “credit,” I would lose the “wonderful” VIP pricing.

I was baffled at their attitude; they will not offer a membership refund, no matter how unhappy their customers are. Don’t just take my word for it, read the 600+ one-star reviews here.

Needless to say, Fabletic's conduct is shameful. This is a company that preys on its customers and profits from their inattention. Not to mention that they are selling “Target” quality activewear at a “Lululemon” price. Skip this one folks, stick with classic retail.

Online robbery

By Brittany Wendl, Fargo, ND, Verified Reviewer

Feeling frustrated and exhausted with this company. They charged my card for a year! I tried to cancel my membership numerous times by calling the customer service number (which has recently changed) only to be put on hold then hung up on. The bank was only able to recover some of the charges while the Fabletics kept $400. This is ridiculous since I have read in other posts, they have given a full refund to other customers!

Useless help

By Mey Chakphet, Hillsboro, OR, Verified Reviewer

I've placed an order about two weeks ago now. Hopefully, it'll come in the mail. But the concern that I have, I do not feel safe having my credit card info on here. Today I've received an email that said that I tried to purchase items on their website. Thank god the payment did not go through because I didn't try to buy anything. I was on the live chat with one of the staff. I tried to figure things out, but she just left the chat. Yeah, thanks for the help.

Not worth the hassle

By Bridget W, Newark, DE, Verified Reviewer

I had two separate Fabletics VIP accounts to reap the benefits of the first time free. Then I really didn't see the benefit of using it anymore, and they hiked up the monthly cost per outfit even if you were VIP. It was annoying that I had to skip each month or else I'd be charged.

When I finally decided to cancel they try and convince you not to. There is no simple button to click to cancel, which is silly. I even tried to do the live chat in hopes of it going quicker, but they still try to fight you on changing your mind or offering you extra points that won't even be enough to redeem anything worthy.

If you really think you'll buy a new exercise outfit every month then sure, this is the site for you. But if you're more of a "one and done," you're better off going to Target.

Con merchants

By Kerry Jones, England, Verified Reviewer

Con merchants that automatically make you a member and charge you £44 ($56.92) per month without you being aware. They are very clever in their marketing, so you think its trustworthy and then deliberately try to catch you out. They position their so-called "clear information" at the side where it just looks like the usual advert rubbish you get on websites. Very easy to ignore, which they know most people will. Should be an opt-in service and not one you have to opt out of when you eventually realize you've been caught out.

I don't see the issue

By Ashley G., Washington, Verified Reviewer

I just recently signed up for Fabletics, and I don't understand how people were "tricked" into it or didn't know they were signing up for a membership.

It was very clear to me during the purchase process, and signing up to be a "VIP," that I was signing up for a MONTHLY subscription and would be charged MONTHLY. I can only assume the people who feel duped didn't bother to read what they were agreeing to. I was also provided clear instructions on what to do if I didn't want to be charged for a month. I guess some people need to pay more attention when they enter their credit card information.

I can't speak to the quality of the clothing, but I was well aware of what I was signing up for.
