This skillet sucks

By Cliff Gess, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

They say it is non-stick, but what a bunch of crap. I just made 2 lb of hamburgers, and they stuck. They turned out to be scrambled, not patties. I'll never buy another one of theirs. I wish I could post a pic of the mess. I was so angry that I threw the burger away.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This pan really disappointed me!

By Jon Alexander, South Carolina, Verified Reviewer

Within two weeks food was sticking to it. I followed the directions and used low heat and no oils.

To say the least, I might as well have taken a $20 bill and just thrown it in the trash because that's what I'm doing with this pan after owning it for less than a month.

Excellent

By Kelly Plaisted, Northfield, NH, Verified Reviewer

I got this set for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Cleans so easily. No scrubbing needed, just wipe out with warm soapy water. The steamer attachment works amazing. I love steamed veggies. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends. So thankful to my mom who got it for me.

Good looking and easy to to clean

By Patricia Kirby, Chicago, IL, Verified Reviewer

Given that most people will kick that heat to highest temperature possible, it may not be the pan's fault. Cooking eggs should be done to taste better and cook better at a medium to low temperature, and when I do that, they slide out of this pan. Having a background in material engineering taught me that you cannot subject the pan to high heats and then hit with water suddenly. It's called thermal shock, which damages ceramics. So perhaps the human factor was not accounted for in educating customer (also known as the stupid factor).

I bought the frying pan last year to see if I liked it and this year bought the larger set. I look forward to some great cooking this year with minimal hassle in clean-up.

False advertising!

By Larry May, Ohio, Verified Reviewer

I purchased my Gotham pan set in October 2016 thinking I finally had a great product to cook with. My 12" skillet was great for about three months and then everything started sticking. I even used Pam spray.

I call their customer service and was greeted with the most unprofessional people I had ever deal with. Very rude and told me the guarantee was up and to enjoy my product. They kept sending me emails stating that my credit union would not release payment. I called my credit union, and they faxed them a copy of my canceled check that had been cashed shortly after my purchase.

I would not recommend these pans to anyone. I paid $180 plus for this set that went on sale 30 days later for $149.00. I called them, and they refused to adjust my cost. No, absolutely I would not recommend this product to anyone! Very unhappy.

I wish they lived up to their hype

By Nancy Murphy, Bradenton, FL, Verified Reviewer

I've had three Gotham Steel pans, and two of them have been a BUST! After just a few uses, things started sticking to the two 9" pans I've had, including eggs, hamburgers, etc.

Sadly I would not recommend this product to others. I can't even get in touch with management to find out if this could be fixed!

Fair

By Pat Tamlyn, Perry, MI, Verified Reviewer

I love the pots, but I'm not impressed with either skillets. I tried to fry eggs, and they stuck to the pan fairly good. I don't use them for eggs anymore, and I went back to my cast iron for them.

Product not satisfactory.

By Audrey Thompson, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I have had one of these fry pans now for approximately six months. The pan was fine for the first couple months, but now everything I cook in it sticks on. It did not meet my satisfaction, and I would not promote the product. It did not meet my needs, and I am not satisfied with the product.

Don't buy them

By Cathy Cartwright, Washington, Verified Reviewer

As others have stated, they were great the first couple of uses and now everything sticks. I am disappointed, and you get what you pay for, but these are still overpriced. Don't bother. I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased. Lesson learned.

Gotham frying pan

By Karin Gelinas, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I bought the Gotham frying pan in 2015 for a Christmas gift (my husband was a chef). This pan scraped after three uses. Of course, the 90-day warranty was done. The commercial does not represent product! Do not waste your money!

Do not buy!

By Joe Baglia, New Jersey, Verified Reviewer

Do not buy these pans! I purchased two. They were great at first, but things began to stick more and more as time went on. Now everything sticks even when using oil! This is the last time I buy anything "as seen on TV" junk. I wish I saw this website before I purchased. It's a shame a professional chef puts his name to this junk, it really is. Please read all these reviews, they all say the same thing. Junk!
