I LOVE my Gotham Steel Pans

By Sylvia Stewart, Houston, TX, Verified Reviewer

First of all, you need to know I am a retired Home Economics teacher who has taught over 10,000 teens with most of them having learned sanitation and safety as well as management skills in cooking.

I am totally pleased with my Gotham Steel cookware and bought it specifically because of the ease of handling weight-wise. I have had polio as a child and found other cookware when full of product to be difficult to lift at this point in my life. I love the ease of cleaning the product and the way it looks. I never have cooked foods at high temperatures, especially protein-high foods which come from my farm background where something was always simmering on the back burner of my mother's very active kitchen.

I hope the naysayers of the review community will look at their basic cooking habits to see if they perhaps misused the cookware they now hate. Sometimes we carry old habits over to new situations. I hope you all have fun in the kitchen and leave it cleaned up for the next cooking experience.

Very disgusted with pans

By Rusty Lee O'Connor, Mexico, MO, Verified Reviewer

When I first bought these pans for Christmas in 2016, I was very excited and they worked great. After about a month they became completely worthless and turned to crap. Everything stuck no matter if I used a coating or not and how low or high I cooked on. I am very very disgusted and angry. No help with the customer service department either. I would recommend these awful pans to absolutely no one.

Gotham Steel Pans

By Tina Eberly, Anoka, MN, Verified Reviewer

It's really a whole lot of false advertising and a waste of money. Everything sticks in them, even with oil, LOL. I rather use a keep non-name brand pan for cheaper that does a way better job. Junk, just junk.

Would not recommend

By Robert Navarro, Texas, Verified Reviewer

Everything I cook in this pan sticks to it. I have no paperwork on it as I threw it out when I opened it, so I guess I'm stuck with a pan that's useless to me! I would not recommend it to anyone.

What a piece of feces

By Sandro Vadacchino, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

All I wanted to was a pan to cook my eggs. Well, do not believe the commercials where the eggs just slide off because they don't! I followed the instructions (low heat, no oils) and I literally have to scrap them off the pan. Even using oil it still sticks. And, believe or not, even when cooking bacon it sticks. It must be all smoke and mirrors on TV. I will be calling customer service on Monday to see if I can return this piece of feces.

Don't waste your money!

By Vickie Townsend, Tennessee, Verified Reviewer

I was excited when I saw this advertised and went out and bought a full set. I was very disappointed the first time I used them. They take a long to heat up and boil water and my food sticks. I wish I could post pics (because I have them) of eggs, bacon, burgers, etc. all stuck. What a mess to clean up even after soaking. I am sorry I wasted my money on this "too good to be true" product.

I own the square one

By Ashley Sartori, Shelbyville, KY, Verified Reviewer

I have the square Copper Pan. But from my experience, this is not accurate at all. I got mine as a present and had mine less than a month. All I use on it is a rubber spatula. I used it approximately five times. I went to use it yesterday and my eggs stuck to it terrible. I decided to try it with the eggs again this morning.

Note, it soaked overnight with dish detergent and water. Still had to work on rubbing the egg off this morning. The oil didn't help much and still had to work on getting the egg cleaned off it. Tonight my pork chop is sticking to it as well. I clean it as instructed in the pamphlet that came with it. I don't use knives or anything sharp or metal in it. I also don't put it on high as its recommended to.

Scam

By William Boggs, Texas, Verified Reviewer

I've owned two of these pans and both of them performed the same. Never have a cooked an egg that floated around like on TV, not even the first time. All I really cook in these is breakfast, bacon, and eggs. When I cook bacon, I put a cast iron weight on top, so they fry flat and fast, bacon sticks and you have to scrape it out then wash the pan so you can fry the eggs. This is a scam if I ever saw one, back to cast iron. I bought it at Walmart.

No, it is not nonstick after the 1st use.

By Rick Killian, Abilene, TX, Verified Reviewer

I bought two of the original copper/titanium nonstick pans as "buy one get one free" from two different suppliers. I gave away two to various friends. After being used a couple of times, they all four failed and were extremely difficult to clean, in which they all four ended up in the trash. The two I kept for myself failed almost "right out of the box" when I tried to make omelets. Two I tried on a gas stove at a temp about "4-o'clock" position on the temp knob, and the other two failed when used at the same temp setting on an electric stove.

I called customer service and was told that the temperature I used was too high (that's BS!) and that I need to "re-cure" the pans like a person would with cast iron. This is the most worse item I ever wasted my money on and was embarrassed that my friends told me the same thing I just said in this comment. So now the word is being spread in the Abilene, Texas area that it is a total waste of money.

Now I'm stuck with a bunch of other different products that I'm afraid to try. What I have discovered is that the product is not worth the gas it takes to salvage them for the price-per-pound for salvage of aluminum. WHAT a disappointment. I was even more embarrassed because I gave one to my daughter, which of the four pans, had the same results.

Dissatisfied

By Perry Amos, Oregon, Verified Reviewer

Everything sticks. I have to use a lot of oil to cook anything. Not near as good as my cast iron pans. Flip an egg? Forget about it. Horrible experience. I used a green scrubber to clean the pan and scratched up the surface. I give it 5 thumbs down.

Unusable after one use.

By Nelson Yap, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Verified Reviewer

I fell into the trap and I bought two pans after seeing it advertised. I should have visited this website first before buying it.

I used it to make an omelet and the egg stuck to the pan. Not only did it stick, but I had to scrub the pan to get the omelet off. This isn't better than the $10 Teflon pans, at least those ones work.

It is useless, I can't use it for anything because not only does everything stick, it sticks hard and you have to scrub hard during the wash to clean it. This is fake, if you are reading this, don't buy it.
