Went from excited to upset

By Toni Rinella, Kingsville, MO, Verified Reviewer

My parents got me the set for my birthday in July. Now we are in October, and my round pan is losing the coating, and the set is no longer non-stick! I never used anything but plastic when cooking. And when cleaning, I noticed that each time I cooked with my pans, they changed!

The non-stick surface changed color and worded less and less. Right in the center of my round pan where the color changed, that is where the coating has begun to come off! Food sticks so bad now, that I use butter or EVOO, and it will still stick!

I replaced ALL my pans once I got this set! Now the one thing I love to do, cook for my family, is not as easy and will cost me money to replace. Money that I do not have!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The greatness wears off!

By Rebecca Moore, Rosharon, TX, Verified Reviewer

Wait until you use the pans all the time. My in-laws bought them for me. I used them for 7 months, and now they stick as bad as my $8.00 pans.

I wanted to cook a breakfast casserole for my family that was staying over; my mother, sister, cousin, cousin's girlfriend, and her 2 kids. I put the pan in the oven as I usually do, and we only got to eat three-quarters of the casserole. The rest was stuck to the sides and bottom. I was so embarrassed that I didn't use the pans for the rest of the weekend. I called my father-in-law to let him know, and he was sad that my gift turned out so bad that he went to Sam's and bought me a new set of pans.

Thankfully he didn't replace them with another set of Copper Chef. The other set works great. I donated the Copper Chef pans to the church to sell in the garage sale.

Sucks

By Donna Wright, Upper Marlboro, MD, Verified Reviewer

After a couple of uses, the pan has a few scratches and everything now sticks and burns. I ordered another because I thought maybe I was not careful enough so, like a dummy, I ordered another and once again after a couple uses, the same problem. I've never been so disappointed.

Product does not stay nonstick

By Jeff Williams, Campbellsville, KY, Verified Reviewer

I bought the full set at Christmas 2016. I am the only one in my household that uses the set. I always hand wash each piece after use. By February 2017, both of my pans became discolored and began to stick. Now when I use them, everything sticks to it. The larger pan has a chipped spot on the bottom, and I never use anything other than plastic spatulas. Very unsatisfied with this product.

Flunks!

By Beverly Largent, Middletown, PA, Verified Reviewer

We wanted to downsize all pots and pans and decided on this copper kettle. We did popcorn, all sorts of fried food, and 1/4 section of the pot sticks badly, and the remaining is good to fair. I went back to my cast iron skillet! VERY disappointed!

I love my Copper Chef skillet

By Aleta J Crigler, Ohio, Verified Reviewer

I tried the Gotham skillet and it heats so hot that I burned it. It survived, but the second time I burned it, it was ruined. Then I bought a Copper Chef skillet, and when it burned I thought it was ruined too, so I soft scrubbed it with comet and a rag and it came clean; no scratches. I couldn't believe it. They didn't lie this time, but I am still trying to get used to controlling the temperature since it needs a low fire. It gets super hot on my stove. That's why I keep burning it. I needed a tough skillet like Copper Chef. I love it.

Terrible warranty

By Joel S Kaufman, Fairfax, VA, Verified Reviewer

I purchased my Cooper Chef set in May 2016. In September 2017, it formed black spots that would not come clean which in turn compromised the integrity of the pan, no longer allowing it to be stick free. I hand wash all my pots and pans. Cooper Chef would replace it if I mailed it back and paid for S&H, which when all is said and done, I could replace it locally for cheaper. Cooper Chef refused to send me a new one without me jumping through hoops.

No longer non stick

By Debbie Sheehan, San Carlos, CA, Verified Reviewer

I loved my Copper Chef Pans when I first got them, however, after each use the non-stick worked less and less. I now have to soak before cleaning most of the time. I use them for home use only and have followed all the instructions.

Copper Chef pans are not non-stick

By Bert H. Holt, Midlothian, VA, Verified Reviewer

I bought a Copper Chef Pan based on the TV advertising, which showed fried eggs and other foods sliding out of the pan when done without cooking oils or sprays.

The very first time I tried it for fried eggs, I cooked on medium temperature. When I tried to flip the eggs over, they were stuck to the pan as if they'd been glued. The clean up required vigorous scrubbing with a non-abrasive cleaner and soft sponge. None of the claims made in the TV advertisement seem to be legitimate.

Don't waste your money on these pans. Their "non-stick" claims are completely false and misleading.

If only I had read the reviews first

By Paul Cooke, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, Verified Reviewer

I was so impressed with the TV advertisement about the Copper Chef Pans that in May of this year I decided to part with my hard-earned money to purchase them. As a single Dad with children at home, money is tight, but because I had the option of paying by installments, I decided to go ahead.

I was so looking forward to them arriving, and they arrived a few days later as expected. On opening them, they looked great. But then as I opened the extra utensils, spatula, drainer spoon, etc., I felt very disappointed in the cheapness and flimsy quality of it all. The chip pan drainer is ridiculously flimsy, and the handle comes off very easily as you lift out of the hot fat, which is very dangerous and I have never used that since my first experience with it.

I followed all the instructions totally, from the temperature of the heat on the pans to the cleaning, even to the type of cooking oils to use. The pans are totally useless now. Within a matter of months, they have become discolored and scratched from the internal parts for the pans. Oh, they were non-stick though for the first few uses.

These have to be one of the worst purchases I have ever made in my life. I wish I had never seen the advertisement and will never buy anything from this seller again. This was my first ever purchase from this place and will be my very last. Buyers beware! I wish I had read all the reviews first.

Poor quality cookware

By Maggie Shu, Columbia, MO, Verified Reviewer

I booked bratwurst, apples, onion, and cabbage in the Square Fry Pan today on medium-low heat. While cleaning up the pan, I noted that the oil from the bratwurst had burnt on the bottom of the pan. Cleaning the pan was not easy as the advertisement states. As I was using mild soap and warm water to wash the pan, the copper coating started turning a medium gray color.

This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had on an advertised product. I feel I’ve wasted my money purchasing it.
