Thoroughly disappointed.

By Ezra Rodgers, Jr., Shreveport, LA, Verified Reviewer

I wish that I had seen these reviews before I purchased the "ALLEGE NON-STICK" 9 1/2 FRY PAN.

When I first purchased it, it was magical! I don't even use it regularly, however, after less than six weeks, everything sticks to it. EVERYTHING!

I will shop wiser next time.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Defiantly a rip off

By Chelsie Steele, Mishawaka, IN, Verified Reviewer

I bought the entire set, even the electric stove range. Not even a month after having my cookware, it stuck, scratched, and oil won't even help with it sticking. It only heats up in the center of the pan when using the Copper Chef electric stove range! Complete bullshit and false advertising. Do not buy unless you want a rip-off.

Don't buy!

By Jim Frazee, New York, NY, Verified Reviewer

I was sucked by all the hype about these pans and bought the entire set. I also paid extra to have them double coated.

At first, they did everything that they were advertised to do. But it did not last. I've had the pans now for six months and burned marks are permanently embedded in the coating (especially around the screws that hold the handle in place), and food is starting to stick to the surface. I have other pans in my kitchen that I have had for years, and they work just as well as they did when I purchased them. I am an author and have written a cookbook so am aware of what is needed in the kitchen and how to use them.

Buyers, beware; don't let the hype fool you too.

Highly disappointed

By Burr, Birmingham, AL, Verified Reviewer

I decided to purchase more cake pans to handle large amounts of holiday baking for clients. I’ve seen the commercials and decided to spend a little more on Copper Chef pans. I figure I would save money on purchasing non-stick spray.

The first time I used them, the cakes stuck to the pan. Not only that, the cakes came out uneven. I gave it another shot but had the same results. I wasted valuable baking time and materials.

I’m highly disappointed!

Not nonstick!

By Tiffany Chaisson, Bourg, LA, Verified Reviewer

I used the pans first few times and they were wonderful. I never used metal on them, and after a few uses, both pans I purchased are no longer nonstick! Everything I cook sticks to them even after adding oil! I messaged for a return and was told to season it every use. Doesn’t make a difference!

This was an absolute waste of $120. I already threw one away because I couldn’t cook anything and about to throw out the other one soon. Don’t waste your money!

12" XL wok set, non-working induction plate

By Russ Varner, Texas, Verified Reviewer

We have purchased several pieces of the Copper Chef cookware, and we are very pleased with them, however, we just purchased the 12" XL wok set, and the induction function will not work. The induction cooktop kept turning off. We purchased a second one to see if it was only the one wok that had this issue. It was not; the second wok did the same thing. The induction cooktop we have is not a Copper Chef one, but all the other Copper Chef pans work fine.

Really disappointed. We use a wok several times a week, and it would be nice if it was a Copper Chef. Both of them are being returned.

XL fry pan

By Mike Guenther, Pine Island, MN, Verified Reviewer

I bought 2 sets of the XL pan set (round and square), one set for my daughters family. It has been less than a year, and everything now sticks to the round pan. In order to get it clean, I boil water and dish soap and use a non-scratch pad to get it clean. My daughter's set is doing the same. I didn't realize that this was a epoxy coating or I wouldn't have bought them.

It's a lot of money for a product that doesn't last, and you have to pay for shipping to and from the manufacturer to get it repaired. I don't think it's worth the shipping cost to have it repaired; it might be better to shop around and invest in a different pan. The main reason I bought these pans was for the non-stick and high heat resistance.

Does the job

By Bill, Livonia, MI, Verified Reviewer

Really does the job. Great for outdoor cooking fried fish, chicken or onion rings. Great temperature control for heating oil. We also use it for camping. Easy storage and very convenient for cooking eggs, hamburgers, bacon, and sausage. Also, great for boiling pasta and steaming vegetables. These make great food warmers/holders. I have 5 units I am going to use for Thanksgiving and Christmas family dinners. I do not use every day, so I have not experienced the nonstick issues others are having.

I would recommend it, but I would not expect to use as your only cooking source 100% of the time.

Disappointed on my 9.5" square Copper Chef non-stick fry pan

By Marjorie Lu, Sausalito, CA, Verified Reviewer

I watched Chef Eric Theiss's demonstration on TV every night. Very impressed. Finally, I went to get one from Bed Bath & Beyond.

I made scrambled eggs the next morning by using a little olive oil. The result was some of the eggs stuck on the bottom. I thought about how Eric slid his omelet out from the pen like gliding through the air without using any oil. Mine got stuck even with some oil. I tried again the following day to cook a lamb chop. It stuck part of the meat on the same spot on the pen again. Then I put a lot more olive oil in the pen to cook broccoli. A bigger part of the vegetable stuck on the pan again.

I had to soak the pen in soap water for a long time before using a hard brush to scrape off the sticky stuff. But the coating seems to lose some luster after the cleaning. I am very disappointed.

Bad service, no product, no refund

By Ted B LeMay, Russellville, AL, Verified Reviewer

I ordered the product. All that came was the hot plate. I called and called. I never got the rest of the product. So after I returned the partial product, I asked for a refund. They agreed to a full refund. Instead of my refund, they finally reshipped the product against my wishes. They said it was a mistake. They still have not issued a refund! The original order was first of July. Still no action. I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. Terrible company to deal with!

Very poor customer service

By Nancy Painter, Monee, IL, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the Copper Chef Pan when it first came out on QVC. I have loved this pan until recently. The film on the bottom of the inside started coming off, and everything started sticking.

I called customer service for Copper Chef, and they wanted me to pay $16.00 to return the pan and pay another $16.00 for them to ship me a new one. All the guy kept saying is that is our policy.

I called QVC to see if they could help me even though it had been over 30 days. They were so nice, Jennifer is who I talked to, she is sending me a FREE return label and sending me a new pan at no charge. Copper Chef needs to take a lesson in customer service from QVC.
