Just the most horrible experience.

I purchased a Burberry jacket for $620, which turned out to be an absolute fake. I contacted Tradesy immediately so they instructed me to mail them the item for "expert evaluation". I shipped it back right away.

Two weeks later. I receive an email which said that they found the item was not fake so they can't issue a refund but will give me store credit. I don't care what their so-called experts found, but to me, the item was a counterfeit, it was so obvious from all the hand-sewn stitches and labels that read Burberry Italy! Since when is Burberry an Italian brand?

I called my bank to dispute the transaction after which Tradesy emailed me and finally agreed to issue a refund. They told me my funds would be back on my card within 5 business days. Surely enough, still no money back as of today, although 2 weeks have passed already. I have emailed them back and forth during which they claim a refund has been issued and I won the dispute, whereas my bank says they did not refund anything.

The most dishonest, disgusting, and shady merchant you can buy from. The first and last time they see a penny from me. Better off sticking to the tested-and-tried eBay or Macy's, etc.

The Country Code does not match the "made in" stamp.

Also, the stitching on the inside of the bag is dark brown and not the Louis Vuitton yellow.

I bought a fake Yurman ring. Be warned, if you buy a fake item you get credit and have to pay your loan off. So basically, you're screwed. Don't buy from this company! I hope they go bankrupt, very very unethical. Be careful!

I am a seller since 2017 on the Tradesy platform, they recently implemented a new returns policy, where the buyer can return the item, and now Tradesy is returning the items to the online closet seller. They took the "misrepresentation claim" returns for luxury items out of the mix, and are now returning all returns directly to the seller! Without any transparency to the seller or buyer, or communication with the seller and buyer. This seems to me to be an unfair business practice, as Tradesy is an online seller platform that takes 23% off the top as their commission, to begin with, to use their platform. So, if you plan on selling an expensive Chanel bag on their platform think again, because the buyer now can return a replica, and you could be out thousands of dollars in your investment in your closet. Do not use Tradesy to buy or to sell.

I purchased a pair of Givenchy Mule. It took more than a week to ship to my house using FedEx. When I open the box there is a really cheap glue smell. All my authentic shoes never had that bad smell! So I return it back to check if it was real. I have tried this pair at the store but they don't have my size, so I end up googling it online and found this Tradesy website. But the shoes I received from Tradesy are not the same as the ones I've tried in the store. But Tradesy said It is real. So they won't return my money back, only STORE CREDIT.

I don't really want to buy ANYTHING again from this website. Can't they simply give me my money back? Turns out there is no way! Yes, you have to buy some other crap from them.

Well, I didn't mind their high fee before I was (and still am) put through hell trying to get the money from my sale. They charged me $200 for the sale and another $23 to transfer to my bank. They put a hold on your money until 7 days after the buyer receives the item, 4 days are in case the buyer wants to return it. Unacceptable, if the buyer used my purse for 5 minutes it wouldn't be in the same condition that it was when I had it making it depreciate. I don't know why they hold your money another 3 days, they claim it's to prove authenticity, which makes no sense because for them to guarantee the item is authentic is you send them pictures after the sale. They never physically see the item.

Now my money has been released and I have to wait another 5 days for "security checks." What the heck are they talking about?! So, altogether I've (so far) waited from the 14th of May when my item sold and I shipped the next day. Unfortunately, the buyer wasn't available to receive her package until the 23rd, and Tradesy claims my money will be deposited on June 1st. Insane.

I’ve had a Tradesy account for many years and have sold a lot of items through this website (sold for over $17,000 total). Recently the site was hacked and my account was compromised. The hackers changed the email on my account and also PayPal address connected to my account and withdrew over $1800.

The fact that I've always had one email and one PayPal account with Tradesy and all of these sudden changes made and money withdrawn did not cause any red flags with Tradesy. Tradesy should have flagged the account for extra verification when a seller who has sold items and transferred money out many times changed the email and PayPal address on the account all of the sudden.

When I noticed something is wrong I called to let them know "my email" on the account is not mine I got a non-chalant answer that I probably typed my email wrong. I kept checking and noticed my funds are gone and Tradesy did not do anything about it. I can't even get a call from the manager and got an above to call PayPal. This is not a PayPal issue because my account with PayPal has not been hacked, this is a Tradesy issue. Zero concern about it and they are not refunding me my money.

Awful service in such a stressful situation. I've checked all my other accounts and they were no attempts to log in. Tradesy was the only one hacked. No one stole my password, and I only use the account on my app.

I spent $200 on a bag that doesn't even secure. I tried to open the item description to see if I missed something and I am unable to open.

Tradesy itself has been great. Easy process and the shipping was fast. Just curious as to why they would allow items that aren't usable to be sold.

I purchased a $2,300 vintage, ordinary Rolex watch. I could have bought this anywhere with a much better return policy. Four days! I received the watch on a Friday. Didn't even wear it until Monday, almost a week later, and it starts to act up/not keep good time. I bought it on September 2nd and emailed them yesterday, 09/14. Both Tradesy and the seller are unhelpful. I am involving my credit card company now. Also, when I purchased this I had a whopping $25 coupon code. I bought the watch and received a new one in my email for $50 off. Tradesy customer service would not honor the new code, LOL. Can you imagine the nerve of this lame company?

If you're shopping from Canada, you risk wasting your money.

Not only did the dress I buy arrive at my place not as it was advertised by the seller, they also both had a stain on it and was not the size she said it was (she advertised it as a size 12, it came with size 9/10 on its tags). On top of that, sales to Canada are final and have no exchanges, returns, or refunds. So I wasted my money on a dress I can't wear.

If I can save the population of Canada from wasting their time and effort and cash, the moment writing this review is worth it.

I purchased this Alexander Wang handbag assuming the statement "This item may have been worn but has no visible signs of wear" was a true statement, but it is not. It looks nothing like the "stock" photo whatsoever!

The hardware on the bottom corners is scratched, the bag sags! The bottom of the bag has a few dents on it. And the clasp inside the flap is discolored. Plus, the black flap has discoloration on the top right corner, plus a light scratch on the bottom near the middle.

I was so excited for this Gucci Belt Cross-Body. The bag material seems cheap, the logo "leather" patch on the front is barely GUCCI legible. The strap and the buckle seem high quality but overall I'm so disappointed.

The sellers should be reviewed like eBay! Also, like eBay, Tradesy should give you an expected timeframe for delivery. Their sellers are the worst! Not all, but most of them are horrible. Most do not communicate. It takes them forever to ship your product. I made a purchase of close to $2k (a pair of Louboutins I bought 9 days ago) and it’s still not delivered, and the seller just ignored my email. For a person who spends a lot with Tradesy, you would think they value their customers.

I think I’m done after this order. I’m so done! It took them about 4 days to ship after it was paid. I always think twice, no, three times when I order from them. It’s like a hit or miss. If able, go to Fashionphile. I know I did with my last purchase and they were cheaper for the same product and description.

They were marked as “new” with “no visible signs of wear,” however, they have ink numbers all written on the bottom of the shoe and there is also an ink mark on the front of the shoe. Very disappointed in the misrepresentation.

The shoes I purchased were misrepresented and turned out to be damaged to the point where I couldn't wear them. When I'd slip my foot into the boot, the very hard pointy fabric had ripped off on the heel and would catch on my foot. There was no way to unhook the fabric from under my foot because the boots were so tight, they weren't the right size either.

I filed a return claim and printed the shipping label. Only to find out because the shipper had shipped USPS, FedEx wouldn't take the package. Even though it was a FedEx shipping label. I would suggest Tradesy coordinates with their sellers to ship with the same company they provide return shipping labels through. It was such a headache to try to return this damaged pair of shoes.

I am a first-time Tradesy customer and this may be my last after I use the credits from the return.

Shopping was easy, I would say, but the delivery was not cumbersome. It was not as user-friendly as generally it has been previously. But I love my shoes.

The pros: As a seller, your item is considered SOLD if the buyer does not initiate a return within a four-day window. The site is easy to use, and Tradesy cleans up your pics and makes them look professional. Getting your funds is a protracted process but worth it since they make up for it with a four-day return policy (they also handle your returns).

The cons: As a buyer, you are paying a 20% commission, plus exorbitant shipping if your seller elects to have Tradesy handle shipping. I sell luxury goods on Tradesy and discount every item I sell by 10% on a competitor's site. I handle my own shipping on both sites in order to pass the savings on to my customers. Another issue with Tradesy is that for some bizarre reason all merchandise is advertised on Google as used even when it is new with tags.

As a buyer, I would NOT use Tradesy due to the markups (a buyer can get the exact same item for 10% less on another well-known site, like eBay). Plus, the return window is usually much more generous on other sites.

Conclusion: Good for sellers, not so good for buyers.
