I signed up for Noom's free trial, thinking that the approach might help me manage a special diet I'm on for managing multiple autoimmune diseases. Having a Goal Specialist seemed like a positive approach. Well, within a very short amount of time I realized that this is not the right app for me. It is focused on weight loss and Caloric Density and my diet regime is focused on Nutrient Density and healing (I need a different meal-logging app that tracks micronutrients etc.). I forgot to cancel with Noom before I left on a vacation and when I got home I realized that I'd been billed for two months' membership for a service I don't want. So, I'm stuck. I don't think a company with integrity would force a client who is clearly not an "ideal customer" to stick with a subscription that they're not using. I'm not at all impressed and very disappointed that I ever signed up for the free trial that turned out to be anything BUT free for me.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
