I have been using Noom for a month now and have found it to be very helpful so far. While I had been using other apps to track activity and food, I was still having difficulty keeping off the weight I lost. The big difference with Noom is the educational aspect of using science as it relates to thought patterns, habits, metabolism, sociology, and psychology. Learning about these things has increased my awareness and given me ways to address problem areas. The goal coach contacts and group chat have been helpful with questions and goal setting too.
That being said, I have seen a lot of negative reviews/comments on social media from people who feel Noom is not forthcoming enough about the program, that the cost can vary greatly, and difficulty canceling if they decided not to sign up after the trial.
I wouldn’t have signed up for the trial with the initial monthly price I saw, but then I received a promotion for a large discount so I decided to try it. I am glad that I did, but I think more people might be willing to try if there were more transparency in the advertising.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
