I've tried Weight Watchers online and have been somewhat successful on that - Noom is pretty much the same as far as what you can eat/not eat, etc. What's different is the readings you get every day, with a fair amount of scientific explanations about weight loss and what it actually is. Myth-busting, what. Also twice weekly check-ins with your "coach," and after a couple of weeks you become part of an online group. It's less overwhelming than the WW online chat, with NO POLITICS, fewer photos and videos to check out and more focused on issues surrounding cravings, food choices, and general support. A fair amount of ideas to try out too.
If you're interested in not going to meetings, and want to spend ten minutes or so a day reading, logging your meals, etc., Noom might be a good plan for you. So far I am happy with my weight loss, it seems reasonable and that motivates me to stick with the plan!
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
