I am a classic yo-yo dieter - I have lost 50-70 pounds at least 8 times on every diet known to man, and each time I have gained it all back. I know that I can follow any plan successfully - but something needed to change to make the loss sustainable and long term. Along came Noom. I’m in week four right now, I’ve lost 13 lbs, but that’s not the important part - the important part is the program's emphasis on habit and behavior change, the psych tricks and the groups. I really feel like it is helping me to change my relationship with food. The only thing I would change is the coaching - it is nice to have the feedback but I feel like it is very impersonal. It would be nice to have more frequent check-ins that weren’t so obviously going by a script.
