My back story: I have been heavy my entire adult life. I lost 90 pounds using WW in 2004/2005, but slowly gained it back over the last 15 years. I tried losing it multiple times with WW during that time, but failed Every. Single. Time. I joined Noom on January 2nd, with some skepticism, and the mindset of "let's just see what this is all about." I am here to attest - IT WORKS. I am down 15 pounds, and Noom has helped me change my entire mindset about food, diet, and self-confidence. The daily articles feel like they were written specifically for me, like they peeked into my brain to see where I'm struggling, and then tailored the articles to help me address my issues. The coaches and group members are helpful, but not overbearing or intrusive. I don't feel like I'm on a diet, but more like I am slowly changing my brain.
I only have two negative comments: 1) I wish I could track my food on my computer AND my phone, instead of only through the app on my phone; and 2) the Android version does not have a recipe builder, so tracking a recipe one ingredient at a time is a serious hassle (Noom developers, please fix this!). But aside from that, it's amazing. If you're serious about making some changes in your life, all the way down to the psychological level, Noom is for you.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
