In the past, I have lost some weight with Weight Watchers, and I have lost all the weight I wished to lose with Greysheet, where there was a sponsor, and I had to plan meals for the next day, call my sponsor and tell her what I would eat. But the strictness of that program and the seeming arbitrariness of the foods not to be eaten made it impossible for me to continue with. But that program was the only one that worked, sue I think to the sponsorship and the planning.
I chose to start Noom because of the scientific background for the program and the one-on-one relationship with the goal specialist. And I have found it so far to be just what I wanted. There is something science-based every single day! And the logging of food and the weigh-in every day keeps me really engaged. I'm hopeful that this program will help me succeed over time better than even Greysheet did. It's helping me build habits, do things for a good reason. It allows me not to feel guilty about tasting what used to be "forbidden" foods. It gives me the support of the group and the group coach. It gives me new information about physiology and exercise that I didn't know (and I teach nursing). I will continue with the program for as long as it takes me to lose the weight I want to lose.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
