I filled out a form for HomeLight and heard from three realtors within an hour. They all seemed great, but we picked Nancy because, although it sounds silly, I hate talking on the phone and she texted me instead of calling me. So we gave her a shot.

We met her at 9 am the following day and, through a crazy set of circumstances, put an offer on a home a mere five hours later. We are now the happy owners!

I imagine that realtors have to be true extroverts to be good at it, and Nancy is all that and more. She made us feel at ease from the moment she contacted us, to our first meeting, and everything that has followed. She never tried to convince us of something we might not like and was honest about the first house we toured being substandard (which we noted, but was nice to hear a professional say so).

The same day we first met her, there was a house she noted which fit our criteria but was reviewing offers within a matter of hours, so on a whim, we went to check it out. And when we LOVED it, she said "Let's get it!"

...and we did!

(That has to be a record, right?) She put together an offer super fast, and the sellers chose ours over at least one or two other bidders. I'm still stunned at how quick and easy Nancy made everything for us. She responds via email or text with a friendly and helpful reply almost immediately; any time we had questions, she replied asap. When the appraisal came in lower than what we bid, Nancy did the negotiating to get the price to the appraisal price, and it came off without a hitch.

As a first-time home buyer, I came into the process with the usual hope for a "unicorn" (a house that fit both our budget and our desire) and expecting to spend a grueling long few months feeling discouraged. Instead, Nancy made this so easy and quick that I think SHE must be the unicorn!
