I joined Noom in February 2019. As of 3/20/19 I’ve lost 4 lbs. While I think Noom is a thousand times better than Weight Watchers, who just push their products that are loaded with chemicals, as a 67-year old retiree I feel this program, along with its lingo and focus is more centered on the young working woman, not me.
I spent my career reviewing and editing legal documents, so the typos, misspellings and bad grammar contained in their daily lessons are probably much more noticeable to me. To me, just doesn’t make the company look very professional. Early on, responses from the coach seemed robotic, made me wonder if I was talking to a real person.
As a retiree, $130 was a lot to put out on a program, but still less expensive than Weight Watchers. When I saw the 80% off annual membership I emailed 4 times to different customer service emails asking about the 80%. None of those emails were ever responded to. I have gone in through the coach link today to ask that my program not be auto-renewed on 6/21/19 since I understand there can be no refund before then.
While I think the Noom daily advice and logging in of meals is good, there are many apps online that will do close to the same thing, for free.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
