First, I want to say something to the people who are complaining about cost; these are not hidden costs, you know what you are buying and for how much up front. I'm not sure why that is part of the review? In my opinion, a review should be on the product, not on what you are willing to spend for your (pet) family member.

I have three dogs; one is an 8-year-old rescue that I've had for a year. Shortly after bringing her to our home we removed a cancerous growth and immediately looked for more healthy options for her and my other dogs.

I tried EVERY raw food out there, if one dog liked it the other two didn't. I spent nearly 5 months testing raw and wasting a lot of money on food that was not eaten. Dr. Marty's is the only food all three dogs enjoy (I mean they "woof" it down and keep licking the plate hoping for more!).

I mix venison, chicken and ground beef in (small amounts cooked) because I rehydrate with the meat juices and some water. It takes almost two weeks to go through one bag - I just mix it with 2 handfuls a meal (twice a day). My 9-year-old standard poodle within a week of eating this food became like a puppy again. She was always a fast runner, but she would not play with balls or frisbees. Now she does. All of my dogs have shiny coats and better smelling breath.

I don't know how much it costs compared to other foods (never took the time to compare) because I didn't care. I love my dogs with my heart and soul, if this keeps them healthy and living longer it's worth every penny.
