    Vacation Home sale

    Overall Experience:

When my wife and I were considering the sale of our vacation house in New Mexico, we saw lots of broker signs in the development. The problem was that none of those houses were actually selling. The house was in a rural area and the development had a security gate, so I knew that we could not rely on drive-by buyers. I needed a broker that could network my property. I contacted HomeLight and received two broker recommendations.

Both were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the local market. I was surprised that both had actually sold properties in my area. We used Sotheby's, despite the fact that they were known for larger, urban real estate. Turns out our broker, David Cordova, actually grew up in our area and knew its positive qualities.

We had six interested buyers within the first few weeks of listing. Within two months of listing, we received a cash offer close to asking price. Selling a rural home is a little complicated, with water well and septic inspections and documentation, but David created a calendar of events leading to closing that was helpful in keeping the sale on track.

    Thank you, HomeLight!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
